Bug bites/bruises that don't heal

There are so many factors in healing. What all are you doing now, and what

are you not doing due to allergies? Maybe there are alternatives.

I use B1 to eliminate the bites entirely. If I miss a dose and it is

bug season, I might get some bites, but they disappear quickly once I

take B1 again. More ideas here

I gave m daughter chromium 200 micrograms daily. It cleared up the insect bites

over 3 months old....

Jan...we also have the same problem here, but, she takes 500mg C 3x/day...do

you think more it needed?? Her legs look a wreck with old bruises, bites

and scrapes from the end of Aug...

Thank you all for the suggestions. I wanted to updated that b/c she

has other symptoms of blood glucose problems (and b/c I had some on

hand), I gave her the chromium at every meal since yesterday

afternoon. Her bug bites are healing and a few that are months old

have completely healed up - in one day! Apparently that was the

culprit.

Hi Wyndie,

What kind of bug bites? Please eliminate standing water to reduce mosquito

breeding areas. Consider NAET (www.naet.com) to help deal with the allergies.

Bruises that don't heal or heal slowly may mean she needs vitamin K.

What is a child deficient in if they don't heal normally? My littlest

one gets bug bites and you can see them for a month or more. Anyone

have any ideas what she's missing? She's on several supplements but

has many allergies so is not on the full array of typical supplements.

Thank . The bug bites look like average mosquito bites. I

don't have any standing water around but we do go on walks/bike

rides daily and she tends to attract mosquitoes. I have upped her b

vitamins on Dana's suggestion to make her unattractive to bugs.

I have tried NAET but it was unsuccessful for her. There is only

one practitioner in the area so I am unable to pursue that option at

this time.

I have been looking into Vit K. Thank you for mentioning that b/c

it motivates me to get on it quickly.
