DMPS vs Sauna,... does it take longer? , , others?

Hey guys,

So far I've done 7 saunas for about 25-30 minutes each.. Have felt

fine, but the symptom of warm rush feelings on my skin, (mostly bottom

of heel and certain parts on thigh, which started with the ALA) have

not gone away. Now two questions.. 1. i know SAUNA is the same as

DMPS or DMSA, but will a sauna take longer to chelate mercury than if

i were using the oral chelators?

2. at what point should i consider that whatever the ALA did to cause

this nerve problems, will only be correctable by using ALA again?

which scares me because i reacted to badly to ALA the first time,

namely insanely allergic to foods and feeling like death... even

though the dose was high 25mg, i really want to avoid taking that, at

least for a while..

thanks in advance for the imput.

It's not the SAME as DMPS or DMSA. You'd have to look up what Andy

actually said. He is very careful how he words things and sometimes

he gets misquoted.

Yes.

I think that you still don't understand that the problem was that you

were using a dose that was too high. You will need to find the dose

that is right for you. If you are afraid of ALA, start with DMSA or

DMPS at a 5 mg dose. Surely you would be able to try a 5 mg dose?

And make sure that you have read through " Amalgam Illness " and " Hair

Test Interpretation " so that you understand what problems go along

with mercury poisoning, what the essential supplements are that you

are taking ??, and how to address other problems.

When I first tried chelation at 25 mg DMSA I scared myself silly and

wouldn't chelate again for almost a year. It was a year of lost time.

When I did try chelation again I found that I could handle 18 mg per

dose, and I chelated for over a year at that dose.

Thanks for the replies.

The reason for me not getting DMSA and DMPS is because i seem to have some of

my food allergies in check (for now), and i'm going to start that job in january

like i mentioned to you before.. so i really don't want to start taking DMSA and

DMPS and have it hit me hard and not be able to do my job... that's why i've

been hesitant to start.

Also, when i do start oral chelation again, I want to do DMPS like you said,

because i can take it every 8 hours.... but its proving really really really

hard to find a doc to give it to me... i just went to a doc and she did a blood

test... yes a blood test to look for mercury after i told her about how i felt

after too high a dose of ALA.. in short she has no clue.. so not sure how to get

that DMPS.

also , i was curious, if someone has a very fast metabolism, does that

affect the half-life of the chelator?

thanks

If you start taking the supporting supplements, I suspect that a round

of 5 mg DMSA won't hit you so hard.

My thinking is that it would be good to get chelation started before

you start the job.

What about the original guy who gave you large doses of DMPS. Or

could you travel to Seattle before you start the job?

Half life can be slightly different in different people. From what I

have observed from people talking on these groups, the range is not

large for DMSA, ALA, and DMPS. It seems to be the ones with poor

liver function who need to shorten the dosing interval.

Andy would be the one to ask.

I have an appointment on the 27th with the doc who prescribed the dmps.. and

i'm going to ask them about getting me 25mg tablets of it again.. hopefully she

will listen to what happened with me on the ALA, and not say NO, based on my

recent hair test which showed normal mercury levels with no counting rules... so

we'll see.

Whos in Seattle? Is it worth going up there?

Reason i ask about half life is because my liver got screwed up from a liver

flush a while back... pretty sure its back to normal but i dont know.. plus my

metabolism is really fast, naturally thin guy who eats a lot to keep weight on.

Thanks for the help

scott

ps. i'm doing a parasite test, and for some reason, i do have something

(pathogens or something) possibly causing the leaky gut, is it wise to chelate

the mercury first, or kill the bugs first? thought i'd ask if you knew.

thanks again

I hope that you can get some 25 mg DMPS. You could easily split that

to 5 mg doses, or 12.5 mg doses.

Perhaps you could simplify everything for her and only tell her that

you get side effects with chelation which means that the chelators are

moving metals. Some one who is not toxic shouldn't get side effects

with chelation.

Good luck.

is in Seattle. She is a nurse practitioner who is

probably the person who has the most experience with guiding patients

through Andy's protocol and correcting the problems that mercury

causes through diet, supplements, Rx medications.

You would want to start on chelation using Andy's protocol fairly soon

because your immune system won't be able to defend you until you get a

certain amount of the metals out.

You need to know what kind of pathogens you have before you start

treating them. That's one area where you would need to consult with

someone like who could run the appropriate tests. Too many

people are treating pathogens that they think they have but have not

had proper testing. Too many people think that pathogens are

responsible for symptoms that they may not be causing.

For ... does she do phone consultations if i'm unable to make it

up to Seatle? If she does, do you happen to know how much she charges, or if

she has a contact number i could reach her at to ask her these questions? If so

that would be great.. because i would rather have someon overseeing what i'm

doing, and frankly the doctor who prescribed DMPS really doesn't know as much

about chelation, so she wouldn't be able to offer me anything really in that

area.

As for pathogens, parasites, if i have a persisted leaky gut/food allergies,

is it " likely " i have someone living in me? Obviously this would be due to the

improper chelation i did before? or simply because of mercury in the body?

If you could let me know that'd be great.

Thanks

Many people believe that in order to get this stuff out of the brain you have to

use ALA. Do the Saunas for awhile to help with body burden, then start with

teeny amounts of ALA, every three hours around the clock. (Some people have

done 21/2 and found that to be better.)

Use lots of supplements, especially high doses of Vit C to minimize your

symptoms.
