Those would be viral symptoms at my house. What worked best was Virastop. It has

to be

given 3-4 times a day on an empty stomach. You want to start with 1 capsule

4X/day or

even 1/2 cap. It makes yeast worse (doesn't everything? lol). The pattern, which

was about

3-4 days long, was worsening, then improvement, then fading improvement, at

which

point I increased the dosage. I kept increasing until the improvement did not

fade, I think

around 24 caps/day, and held there for around a month before decreasing back

down.

At one point I ran out of Virastop (he was part of a study) and he got

incredibly,

uncontrollably hyper, was repeating the same phrases over and over and was doing

stuff

like stepping in the same spot on the floor over and over. He went from a high-

functioning kid whose main issues were rage/mood to a very autistic unreachable

kid.

Viruses are nasty!

Besides all those symptoms going away within a day of resuming Virastop, he had

big

improvements both cognitively and socially. Antiviral treatment was really

important for

him.

Most of those sound like yeast overgrowth at my house.

Most tics, at my house, were related to yeast.

Hi, Thanks, Nell.

My son gets belly aches with Virastop. I might try it again, though,

just to see. It's not like I can ruin his eating or anything.

I will try to give im Lauricidin again. I stopped giving it to him

because it seemed he regressed on it after a while. I started giving

him Vit C (and Lysine) the other day; he doesn't usually tolerate it,

but he is at the moment. He is on alot for yeast at the moment, will

watch for more.

Thanks again.

Thanks, Dana.

I started out giving ALOT for yeast and it seemed the tics got

worse. I backed off a litle, but still continue, Amphotericin,

biotin, and GSE. Not touching those symptoms I listed below. I will

up it slowly to see if it does help.

I started Lysine and Vit C the other day also.

Thanks, again.

Just a few days ago, I noticed that he was chomping his teeth twice,

alot. He told me that it started when the tapping, hitting, pounding

things went away. He said it gets in the way of chewing and that's

why he's not eating much. He talked about it for some time tonight.

He also said that he has had constant drumming twice in is head. He

said it's like music, but there's no song. He said it stops him from

thinking right.

====>Very OCD sounding, has he had a cold recently or have you had his strep

titers checked? I would, very OCD. Isn't it Inositol that helps with OCD

symptoms?

All of this has been going on for 6-8 weeks, I think. I could check

the date on my last post if need be.

I started ALA rounds last week again, number 9. Low and slow.

Has anyone delt with Tourette type tics, chelation and recovery?

Would this be something that NAET could take care of? The reason I

ask is beause we did NAET/Bioset for some time and when they tested

for whatever disease the HEP B is for, sorry memory lapse, he had a

horrible day of green diarrhea and big improvements with it. I'm not

sure why I remembered it, we've had huge improvements with alot of

things.

Can you all give me ideas as to what would help ease this for him?

Here it is:

Thanks for any help!

My nephew was diagnosed w/Tourettes Plus at age 9. He had severe ticking. He's

lost the tics, OCD and the diagnosis and is now in honors classes in HS. Aside

from addressing metals and yeast, my sister treated an ongoing strep infection.

It's common but doesn't always show up on throat culture tests or present w/any

other typical strep symptoms (like soar throat or fever). Docs don't always

know to test for it.

Test for strep with DNA SB titer, NOT an ASO titer - not as accurate. My

nephew's DNA SB was off the chart - literally. Normal range was <170 and his

was 900 something. I did the same for my youngest who had PANDAS & ADHD

symptoms and his DNA SB was in the 800 range. Both were treated for systemic

strep w/Zythromax and retested using the DNA SB. When that was normal, they

were kept on a profilactic dose of antibiotics for about 6 months - the idea was

to prevent brain swelling and tics and OCD were an indication of that.

Antibiotics were used as soon as tics/OCD symptoms appeared - that was their

sign of a strep infection - and those symptoms for both would disappear

w/antibiotics. We confirmed it was Strep everytime (when tics/OCD appeared)

through another DNA SB test.

Hi Jackie,

Wow! Congratulations to your nephew!...and his parents!

Thank you for the info. I'm going call the dr Mon to ask for DNA SB

strep titer and not an ASO titer. Did a ped do this?

Thanks, again. I really appreciate ti!

Things are not perfect w/my nephew and son - there are still residual issues but

yeah - no ticking or OCD thoughts. Our family doc ordered the test w/some

coaching. He (like other docs I've come across) had never heard of the DNA SB

blood test for strep.

The Oxford Medicine Handbook to Clinical Medicine ( Oxford University Press)

which the majority of docs carry around with them in their breast pockets have

that definately in B & W...that Tourettes(tics) could be tied up with a strep

infection and so they should check.....(I'll re-check it myself but I'm sure

it's in there.)

I have the book myself

Hi,

Can I ask you what are the symptoms of Strep? My son is always stimming and

hyper. He also runs back and forth touching the same objects which I believe is

a sign of OCD right? Hair twirling and moaning all the time.

We are chelating him. Can chelation address Strep or does it have to be

treated seperately?

Thank you.

If you suspect strep, try OLE. I eliminated strep here with OLE.

The hair twirling was yeast at my house. Running back and forth and

moaning were a few things, including yeast.

Chelation did not address strep at my house, but OLE did.

Actually just read that Barberines (golden seal, oregon grape, goldthread and

barberry) were equal in strength and efficacy of antibiotics in treating strep.

I do know it will knock out a cold in nothing flat.

Thanks, Jackie. I'll skip the call to the ped, then.

Hi ,

" Should do " and " do " make all the differrence. All too often people

don't do what they should.

Thanks for looking that up!

That's interesting. I give my son Goldenseal every day. I do give

it a break every so often, that and antifungals, etc. I cannot give

him an antifungal without it or he gets so frustrated he blows and he

has a rash that flares.

Maybe I should try giving higher doses of it alone.

Thanks,
