Guest guest
Hi Helen I don't have the answer to your questions regarding the chelation. But I would be worried about the tops getting stuck somehwere inside. In the Sydney Morning Herald a day ago they had a story about a person who swallowed an uncrushed bottle top and it was showing up on an x-ray.THey had the x-ray picture on the story. I would take him to the dr. Regards Helen Dorothy <michael280592@...> wrote: Hi all, I wrote earlier in the day but received no reply. My son has swallowed 2 metal beer bottle tops and I was asking if it was dangerous to continue the DMSA/ALA round. I was worried about possible heavy metal re distribution, but as I have received no reply I am assuming it is OK to keep going with no danger. Is that right? and I am continuing the round. Please let me know if I should do otherwise. Helen --------------------------------- Make the switch to the world's best email. Get the new 7 Mail now. Guest guest
I searched to see if I could find what metals bottle caps are made of, and I haven't been able to find that out so far. If it was me, I would stop the round. And, I would seek the advise of a medical doctor. It is possible the caps will pass, and it is also possible that they will become lodged somewhere. Guest guest
I would also stop the round and see a doctor. A friend of ours swallowed one in a drinking game and needed surgery to have his removed. His was blocking his airway. Good luck! Sorry you have to deal with this.
