I would love more info about Thiamine. I currently give a 1/2 a B50 complex

three times per day. Should I also be supplementing extra thiamine? My boys

are 3 1/2 and have many issues including low muscle tone, poor balance

coordination, are non verbal, have autism.

Thanks,

Thiamine is safe in any reasonable amounts and can be given at any

time; from 1 mgs. up to 1 gram per day...to improve mental clarity.

Thiamine B1 not only cheltaes unwanted substances

Thiamine Vit. B1 also produces Hydrohoric Acid in the tummy naturally

This helps people absorb Vitamin B12 better;

I joined this forum to tell people about Thiamine and other B

vitamins like Vitamin B12 to help a child's mind and mood and body

Thiamine is food for the nerves; when Thiamine Vit. B1 is combined

with Choline this forms an excellent tonic for many hundress of

ailments; including loss of balance; eye muscles; helps vocabualry;

Thiamine Vitamin B1 is not expensive and is approved for children/

Thiamine is even approved for infants to treat Infantile Beri Beri. A.

I THINK I WILL BEGIN MY OWN FORUM ON THIAMINE VIT. B1 AND INVITE ALL @

Thiamine is not a chelator.

When we use the word chelator on this list, we refer to substances

that have a molecular structure with two sulfhydryl groups, which

makes them able to grab metals tightly. Alpha lipoic acid (ALA),

DMSA, and DMPS are chelators.

Thiamine can be helpful in supporting the body, but it does not

chelate.

Thiamine was helpful at my house as one of the supps that eliminated

my son's visual stims. It also eliminated my own tendency to be a

mosquito magnet. I use it instead of insect repellant.

Try adding carnitine.

This can be related to yeast overgrowth, or a few other things.

What my kids required for speech is written here

Definitely; one of the sings of a thiamine deficieny is;

not being verbal; poor balance coordiantion is

A Hallmark sign of a Deficieny of Thiamine Vitamin B1 as are

Visual disturbances and optic nerve issues; helps muscle tone.

The way I recommen Thiamine is:

Do one tab of Thiamine with one tab of vitamin B-Complex ! 100% safe !

(if used in noraml amounts; such as 10 mgs. a day up to 100mgs.

Yhisminr is water soluble and imporves memeory esp. short term.

This has all been known since 1895; (ummmm; that was last century! " --

Yes; the thiamine would be added " in addition to the Vit. B-complex.

Other co-facotrs of thiamine B1 are: Magnesium and Choline.

I'll expalin this all on the forum; this forum is " too busy anyway

so it would be good to begin another Autism Nutritonal forum anyway.

comments welcome; Conn.-- In Autism-

Thak you for the inforamtion; Icopied this defintion from a dictionary

-chelator

A chelator is an organic chemical that bonds with and removes free

metal ions from solutions. Chelating agents are sometimes used to

treat people suffering from metal poisoning.

Wonderful; all I ask is begin with a small dose and work up

gradually; you never want to add anew suppl " at too high of a dose;

dp mpt exceed 100 mgs. a day; you add the vit. B-Complex later or with

THIS IS THE ACUTAL TEST FOR A THIAMINE DEFICIT:

(and doctors use this test when they don't have time for a blood test)

HERE IS THE THIAMINE TEST:

Give the patient Thiamin Vitamin B1 3x's a day for 3 days;

if the patient improves? then the patient has a Thiamine Deficieny !

man; i think i could think of a better test thatn that !

But that is acutally the test sooooooo

If you give your child Thiamine for 3 days at normal doses AND

your child improves; then your child HAS a defiency of Thiamine

THIS MEANS CONTINUE WITH THE THIAMINE VITAMIN B1 'forever....

BUT if after three days on Thiamien NO improvement is seen such as

better balance; clearer mind; less stress;

THEN THIS MEANS;

PROBALBY ISN'T A THIMAINE DEVIDNCY;

SO IF THE CHILD IMPROVES ON THIAMINE THIS MEANS KEEP GIVING THIAMINE !

I would give the thiamine therapy atleast 3 months to make sure though
