Guest guest
If you're not on a candida diet, get on one. There are tons of books out there and websites too. I shop at organic groceries only and don't buy ANY prepared foods. Also no fast food. It's a pain but feel so good that it's scary. Start by eliminating all sugar, refined flours (especially wheat gluten) and MSG and artifical sweetners. Read every label of everything you put in your mouth. You must be regimented. It's not for the faint of heart but better than being sick. No relapse tho since then. One of the reason why LDN may not find its way in my metabolism could be because of yeast overgrow (is it candiasis-related only?).Then I would logically think that the yeast is "eating" all or part of the LDN during the digestion (only wild thoughts here - dont fire the squad). Therefore; a transdermal application would bypass this problem; or am I nowhere close?Any thought welcome;Cheers all;Algis
Guest guest
I believe they theory is LDN will aggravate an underlying yeast overload condition making you feel worse. This is why people are encouraged to test for yeast and deal with it. A great source of information on this subject is located on Dr. McCandless' LDN for Autism discussion group in the File Section. Autism_LDN/files/ Not sure if you first need to become a member of her group to access. Guest guest
LDN, helps the immune system. A yeast problem must be treated, with anitfungal and yeast protocol. The same reason LDN, will not kill lyme,it will help you get better by helping the immune system. Treat yeast, and do LDN, you will get well. Guest guest
If you have a yeast problem and take LDN, you should get a strong die off reaction. When that doesn't happen, I suspect the immune system isn't able to respond to the LDN. There are pathogins that modify the immune responce. And there are Md's that use Mild Silver Protien IV with success. ...RP From: Wayne <algis@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Transdermal cream; LDN and yeast overgrowlow dose naltrexone Date: Saturday, July 12, 2008, 2:56 PM Hello group;Almost 4 months with LDN 4.5 and no real improvement (I dont know if the disease has been stopped but the odds are with me). Guest guest
I just wanted to point out that the question of the role of yeast overgrowth in our health is a controversial one (whether one is on LDN or not). The safe route is to eliminate foods from the diet that could cause yeast overgrowth, but I don't think it's clear what the relationship is between LDN and yeast overgrowth. I've read one posting suggesting that if you have yeast overgrowth, LDN will aggravate you and actually make you worse. That was followed by another posting saying that if you have yeast overgrowth, the LDN simply won't work. Others have posted saying that they eat whatever they want and LDN works just fine for them. So, although as I said, the safe route is to eliminate sugars and other yeast encouraging foods, I'm not convinced that we yet understand what the interplay is between yeast overgrowth and LDN. Best to all, Toni
Guest guest
From 's LDN forum: Check yourself for Candida(yeast overgrowth) Some of your symptoms may not be MS, it could possibly be Candida...and LDN does NOTHING for Candida. NOTE: Candida if moderate can lessen the effects of LDN, severe candida can wipe out all effects of LDN...this is being seen throughout the different LDN forums. Many will go for years feeling great on LDN but then start to feel bad again, most check out positive for candida. See entire thread of posts on this subject if you test positive for candida. http://tinyurl.com/48ds6l Art -- > > I just wanted to point out that the question of the role of yeast > overgrowth in our health is a controversial one (whether one is on > LDN or not).
