Guest guest
Hi Dana, Can there be immproper fat absorption even though stool analysis showed no problem with fat absorption? Just wondering, because we did have that checked. He is allergic to milk and we removed that - but, he still getting the excessive ear wax at times. If this mito cocktail will have any chance of helping, I'll definitely think about adding it. Guest guest
I have heard that excessive ear was can be related to EFA deficiency. I don't know, but probably. Tests are only about 80% accurate. > He is allergic to milk and we removed that - but, he > still getting the excessive ear wax at times. > If this mito cocktail will have any chance of helping, > I'll definitely think about adding it. For my son, CoQ10, carnitine, and taurine [the primary supps in mito cocktail] eliminated the ear wax problem entirely, and allowed my son to properly absorb fats [major behavioral issues, as well as ear wax and acne, with any fats before I added this]. I had stopped all the mito supps but carnitine about a year ago because he no longer needed them, but about 2 months ago the wax and acne returned, so I added back the CoQ10 and taurine, and within 2 days the ear wax and acne was gone again. Guest guest
Dana, Wow I'm definitely going to try that then. Guest guest
Please excuse my ignorance on this subject, but what does excess ear wax indicate? My son has ALWAYS had excess earwax!! Does it mean improper fat absorption? What test do you run to assess that? Thank you for your patience and help! My son has ALWAYS had excess earwax!! Does it mean > improper fat absorption? For my son, yes, it meant he was not properly digesting and absorbing fats. I gave him mito cocktail [primarily CoQ10, carnitine, and taurine] and that eliminated the wax. >>What test do you run to assess that? I tested by observation. If you want, ask a doctor to test for mitochondrial dysfunction. Dana
Guest guest
Dana and all, Sorry, wasn't following this closely - busy helping #1 move into her new house, and not seeming relative to my son I just deleting most of the messages in this topic. But, then the earwax hit me as I went to hit delete, so I'm starting with what I hadn't deleted. Bruxism BIG TIME in my NT daughter. When she would sleep with me, I was constantly releasing her jaw with my finger to get her to stop. She also has massive amounts of ear wax. I always tease that she is in competition with her Dad for most ear wax production. So, from what I'm gathering, these are related? She also has been plagued for years with mealtime stomach aches, even occasional vomiting. We added enzymes and probiotics to her routine and it eased the stomach aches, but they are still a back seat lingerer. Then on this post the acne was mentioned too So, now, I'm really wondering about this. She has just turned 13 and had a massive explosion of acne. She's taking the enzymes and probiotics (both Natural Factors) as well as C, A, D, Cal/Mag, Zinc and a pretty lame multi that has basic minerals. We eat mostly organic, little refined anything, and have not had a hair test done for her. So far her dad is the only one we've done a hair test for. The question - the mito-cocktail is what I'm gathering I might try with her next? I guess if I get a chance tomorrow, I really need to reread this whole thread online - since I deleted most of the messages in my inbox. Life's been crazy. Sorry if the question is redundant or seems out of the stream of the conversation. I'm just trying to get some bearings here and maybe head in the right direction. This group is really great, but I seem to go into information overload if I don't keep completely caught up reading the messages. I hate deleting any, always wonder what I'm missing now that I should have known. Thanks for any help. willsmomstacie wrote: > > Please excuse my ignorance on this subject, but what does excess ear > wax indicate? My son has ALWAYS had excess earwax!! Eating fats without mito cocktail can do this. >>Then on this post the acne was mentioned too Mito cocktail eliminated acne here. >> So, now, I'm > really wondering about this. But right now it is related to mito. > The question - the mito-cocktail is what I'm gathering I might try with > her next? Definitely sounds like something to consider.
