Guest guest
No, they were definitely compounded by the pharmacy. After I talk to them today I'll let everyone know what's up.Take Care,TonetteSPMS Since 1996 From: Art Hansen <rtee54@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: LDN Update 6 dayslow dose naltrexone Date: Thursday, May 29, 2008, 11:04 AM This is Naltrexone in 10mg tablets.http://www.antiagin g-systems. com/iasstore/ acatalog/ naltrexone. htmlIs it possible this is what your doctor is giving you?>> Hi,> I tried to take a picture but it wouldn't turn out.> No, & nbsp; this tablet is perfectly round, white, exactly the same on both sides with no numbers or markings of any kind except for being scored down the middle. Guest guest
Good Morning Everyone, I'm so glad someone else gets their LDN from Bel Mar and all is OK. An update on how I feel since yesterday. I don't know what happened overnight but I'm feeling pretty good today. Woke up thinking I'm going to do work around the house and my hand actually opened up. It's usually closed pretty tightly. No headache today and no strange dreams last night. Too bad, I kinda felt like I was back in the 60s for awhile there. I'll keep taking the LDN and I'm definitely in it for the long haul. Thanks to everyone for their concern. I really appreciate all the input.Take Care,TonetteSPMS Since 1996> Hi,> My pharmacy says they're verified and my doc says their reallygood. Guest guest
Hi Bob, The 60s were fun but if I behaved that way now it'd most likley kill me. A vacation would be nice though. I do think Hawaii might be better than Haight & Ashbury. I am certainly keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed that my return of symptoms was temporary. I have the highest hope for LDN to help. Nothing else has. Here's the reply I got from Bel Mar Pharmacy: Greetings Tonette, In the past, LDN was typically only available as a capsule; However, we have developed an immediate release oral tablet that is very effective. Here is a list of what is NOT in our tablets: Lactose Sucrose Calcium Carbonate Sugar Gluten Artificial colors Dyes Animal Gelatin (USED IN CAPSULES) They did tell me, previously, that the filler is Avicel. They didn't say what they bond the pills with but I'll call them later. Take Care,TonetteSPMS Since 1996> Hi,> My pharmacy says they're verified and my doc says their reallygood. Guest guest
Tonette, I'm pretty sure the 'with it' pharmacies do not use animal gelatin capsules, rather they use vegetable cellulose. Guest guest
In my country they only come in tablet form! Queen Ingrid of Norway [low dose naltrexone] LDN Update 6 days Well I seem to be having a few problems – especially with sleep – last night I took a whole halcion and I also didn’t take the LDN until bedtime with the sleeping pill. It seemed like no matter how sleepy I was – I still had not slept since starting. I have also experienced some headaches which I never get – but they seem to be dissipating – the incredible irritability Sunday might have just been my lack of sleep – I hope!!! Lol I am on 3.0 for this month, Endro said he would renew for 4.5 depending on how I did……I think the soft tissue muscular pain is definitely better. I did yardwork for a good deal of the day on Monday and I wasn’t having anywhere near the pain I usually do!! The compounding pharmacy here locally charged me 45.00 to fill my script – does that sound about right?? I am hoping to fight with the insurance company if it seems to work, but won’t hold my breath!! SeaLady ____________ _________ _________ _________ _________ _________ ___ Dreaming of getting away? Guest guest
As much as I'm learning to accept life with MS I often daydream about being the 'old' me - you know the person you were BEFORE the diagnosis. So much so that I actually wrote a short story about it for a school assignment. > > >>Too bad, I kinda felt like I was back in the 60s for awhile there.<< > > If only we could travel back once in awhile for a little vacation at our choosing...<g> > >
Guest guest
>>you know the person you were BEFORE the diagnosis. << I'm sure it has changed your perspective. so...would you be nicer? Have more or less compassion? Have less anger? How does it change you? I had a several year long relationship with a lady with MS, and she really did long for her old self a lot. Hard to get nice shoes on when your ankles are swollen twice their size. But I didn't really care - at our age it was all about finding ways to help her have good days, and trying to understand the frustration of this unpredictable disease. <juliedodaro@...> wrote: As much as I'm learning to accept life with MS I often daydream aboutbeing the 'old' me - you know the person you were BEFORE thediagnosis.
