Guest guest
Coffee and Breast Cancer HEALTH NEWS - Coffee may actually protect some women from breast cancer. A new Canadian study found that women who have a genetic mutation that puts them at higher risk for breast cancer may be able to decrease that risk by drinking coffee. The study examined women from four countries and found women with the mutation who drank one to three cups of coffee a day reduced their breast cancer risk by ten percent. Four to five cups of coffee reduced the risk by 25 percent, and six or more cups reduced their risk by 69 percent. Researchers say coffee is a source of phytoestrogens, which may have protective effects. http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/story?section=health & id=3782386
