Guest guest
While we should not necessarily 'dance' to the tune of Naturopaths or Chiropractors, we need to be careful of the 'Scientific Community'. For example, right now the Scientific Community heartedly endorses chemotherapy and surgery as the 'Standard of Care' for cancer treatment. Additionally the Scientific Community has recently lowered the threshold for Cholesterol meaning that soon, multiple millions of people will be downing gobs more of statin drugs. I recognize that Naturopaths I come across on the Internet do not seem to have the same direction as old standbys such as Herbert M. Shelton of ages past, and one of the leading experts on fasting, diet, and the avoidance of poisons. It is also interesting that some can have a totally acidic Saliva while others a totally Alkaline. While seeking a 'normal' standard among abnormally living people, wouldn't it be natural to believe that we might need to be either one on a regular basis? Perhaps not, and I certainly do not have the answer. Perhaps the only thing that counts is the blood's ph? Anyway, I do not hang my hat on what the FDA, Quackwatch or the AMA proposes. Joe C. Interestingly, the other community is findoing out that the cholesterol is the body's answer to chronic inflammation in the arteries, an attempt to patch up the damage done by free radicals. So apparently the cholesterol level is irrelevant. We need anti-oxidants. > > I recognize that Naturopaths I come across on the Internet do not seem to > have the same direction as old standbys such as Herbert M. And that is a shame, really. > It is also interesting that some can have a totally acidic Saliva while > others a totally Alkaline. The body will defend the blood pH at the expense of everything else. I think that there are different approaches you need to take depending on the combination of the pH levels. They do show what is going on on the inside. Did you go to the explanation site yet? http://biomedx.com/pH/index.html
Guest guest
Hi group, I was thrilled to note that someone has remembered the work of Herbert Shelton. Like other great reachers of natural hygene, he taught the patient how to live in harmony with the rules of good health in order to reverse the damage caused by disregard for these basis laws. He and others like him have taught that one can break man's laws and often escape unpunished - not so with the laws that govern our environment and physiology -try jumping off a building and defying the law of gravity for example! Often these days we find " nature doctors " behaving the same as mds , thinking in terms that this pill or that potion will cure the illness, not so,first we need to stop the oil leaking from the tanker then we need to address the spill, first stop the factory dumping chemicals into the river ,then the river has a chance to heal. Man has often found that when left alone. the natural systems of the earth will actually clean up a polluted area better that man can with all his high tech ingenuity and in less time! Can we learn from this? our bodies are well designed complex little universes so to speak, I agree with Herbert Shelton and others of like mind ,that first we need to alter the lifestyle that produced the disease BEFORE we can expect better health. My neighbour has angina and other health issues, asking my advice on what she should take to help -i said first of all stop smoking! otherwise all is in vain-she has been nearly 3 weeks now without a cigarette and feeling better for it. My point again is, surely we all need to search out the basic rules for health to allow our bodies to achieve homeostasis- a difficult thing in our polluted and misinformed world! I feel the responsible nature doctor will be a teacher first, otherwise they are only drug (or suppliment) salesmen or women , as are their medical counterparts. Finally, we as individuals need to share truth with others, how else will the propagander and lies of big business and the ignorant ever be exposed?! We need to teach our children how to eat a healthy diet and avoid a destructive lifestyle and not to be bullied by peer pressure into anything less than what is good for them. Thank -you Joe for your wise counsel in this regard. kind regards to all -kim JCastron <jcastron@...> wrote: While we should not necessarily 'dance' to the tune of Naturopaths or Chiropractors, we need to be careful of the 'Scientific Community'.
