Thanks so much for all your helpful and encouraging replies to my

earlier post today!

I have a question I think you all might know the answer to. My

husband is having alot of difficulty swallowing the vitamins and

supplements I beleive he needs so badly - the bronchospy and the

surgery he had both involved tubes down his throat - and the hospital

managed to give him '

thrush' as a result of the heavy steroid they had him on (4 mg tabs 4

x a day - we've got that down to 3 mg once a day and hope to have them

all gone in a week - trying to 'step down' avoiding a heavy

withdrawal, stupid hospital never warns you about withdrawing from

their nasty steroids!) anyway - he is having problem swallowing pills

etc. I feed my scottie dog a raw diet and recently added MSN for a

little limp by opening the capsule and dumping the contents into

Piper's veggie mash. Sooooo I thought why not do the same with

husband??? Except I give him a high protein shake everyday (vitamin

shoppe enhanced whey with full chain amino acids) - I use some frozen

strawberries, and one scoop of the whey protein - today I opened two

1000 mg buffered C's & two NAC's- 600mg ( I actually tasted the

contents of each to see how nasty they might be - tolerable I thought

mixed with the shake. Gave him vit E w/selinium, and IP 6, on the side.

Question - is there any reason why I should not dump the capsules into

a mix like this??? He had much less problem drinking his shake then

taking the capsules. thanks guys, Jan
