Guest guest
If your hypothyroidism is caused by the total failure of your thyroid gland then the only treatment is to replace the hormones you can no longer produce. That means something like Synthroid or Amour [sp?]. If your thyroid is still partially functioning then theoretically you might augment it if there is actually anything out there that will boost it. Most of what you will find commercially is IMHO just snake oil, designed to separate desperate people from their dollars. You will find " testimonials " for just about any concoction out there; but up to 1/3 of people will show improvement on a placebo in controlled medical studies.
