Guest guest
Lovette, the seizures you are experiencing could be complex-partial seizures which I have also . I experience a weird " electric shock sensation " thru my whole body then my tongue gets numb almost feeling like it's blown u; then I black out for a few seconds, my llmd says that is a seizure but since starting Neurontin they have lessened, but I notice with increase stress or if I'm upset they come on frequently. Sometimes up to 15-20per day before the Neurontin! For the others on Dr.Zhang's protocol, are you doing it with antibiotics also? and is there any difference in how you are feeling? interested to know because I was thinking of going to him. Guest guest
There's another type of Germaben, I can't remember what it's called. Google Liquipar Optima and Phenonip, I can't remember which one is for mostly oils but I think it's one of those. Traci what do u use if ur lotion contains more than 25% of oil Hi... I recently read that u can use germaben only if ur lotion contains less than 25% oil. So what do I do if i make a body butter with oil and aloe gel? will uniphen help? natasha ________________________________________________________________________ ________________________________________________________________________ New for Spring! Guest guest
Hello, I too have 10 year old twin boys that are autistic. I also am running into the same behaviors with one twin in particular. As far as not liking the word no, screaming inapproprietely, and use of words like stupid, shut up, etc. The ironic thing is that he is the verbal one. I realize now how fortunate we are, because their teacher has been my greatest source of help. We have found that social stories work wonders, and found that my sons inability to undertand time has caused a lot of problem behaviors. using a timer to help him to understand this concept has really worked. Even if in public places, perhaps using a watch with an alarm that you can set, that will help him to understand when the timer or watch beeps it is time to leave. Using social stories and combination of timers, watches has helped more than I would have thought. His teacher will make the social stories for me, he has the program for them. Also we have to ignore the behavior as much as possible, but we also have a designated room that when he choses to scream he has to go into. I tell him that it is okay to scream and holler, but... he has to do it in this room,(yes we had to clear everythibng out of the room he could throw or break!) because it hurts my ears. Which has really helped, because it took the control back, and he does not want to scream and holler without an audience. After we CONSISTENTLY used social stories, the designated screaming room, and timers, this behavior that drove us to madness, for 8 LONG months has just about dissapeared! Just wanted to share what has finally worked, which I was feeling pretty hopless..... autism wrote: There are 25 messages in this issue.Topics in this digest:1. Anyone ever use this?? This year when we started what we tohought would be my ds newest placement (in a consolodated special ed classroom), the "honeymoon" period lasted a mere 5 days, then he was all out behaviors. The first time they called I picked him up, then he repeated the behaviors and I told them I would not pick him up. He upped the Ante over and over, but finally I had his behaviorist tell them what I had been saying all along, that he was having the behaviors to be with Mom. makes you get a warm fuzzy huh? I guess you ahve to look for the small fuzzies within the sometimes horrible storms that we have.J wrote:> gtodd504@... wrote:>>> I do not know what kind of school program/grade/etc your child is in. >> My son (10 yr old) is in a special ed day class.
