Becky, you need lots of glutathione precursors -- cold-processed whey -- just like the experiments used. Glutathione even such taken on an empty stomach does not absorb into the blood; it's broken down in the digestive tract. Glutathione in the blood from IV injections for example does not enter the cells where 90% is needed. > Since I have begun eating specific things > in small amounts frequently, I haven't really come up with a plan to > balance taking 'empty stomach' supplements (which S.O.D is). That would be cold-processed sugar-free whey powder plus selenium 400-600 mcg. > I know there > is a relation between glutamine and glutathione ... but I've read > soooooo much stuff at this point I don't remember what the relation was. Glutamine is not the rate-limiting factor for glutathione production; it's not in short supply in food sources. Cystine, glutamylcysteine, and glutamylcysteinylcysteine contribute the cysteine-containing precursors in cold-processed whey. > I appreciate your reply. RDA allowances aren't nearly enough to keep one healthy, and disease will develop if those requirements are not exceeded. In some cases 20 to 200 times the RDA is required for optimal health. (selenium, vitamin C and B for example) > but I have not begun taking those again. > I did add on cordyceps with dinner. Cordyceps and the rest of the immune boosters verge on useless as a health food; one needs concentrated extracts in order to materially increase the natural killer cell activity. That's why Transfer Factor works and the foods Transfer Factor is extracted from does not. > So far so good, as far as adverse > digestive reactions.
