Guest guest
Has anyone tried the zoneperfect diet? This is the 40/30/30 diet of carbohydrates (40%), protein (30%) and fat (30%). The diet breaks food down into zone food blocks and designates them as most favourable moderately favourable and least favourable. Also it is suggested to eat omega 3 oils (Olive oil, Fish oil). I have been on a mostly macrobiotic diet for about 3 years and despite lifting weights in the gym I have gained little strengh and in fact lost muscle (lack of protein in my diet). Since switichng to the zone perfect way of eating (balancing every meal of 40/30/30) I have gained 7 pounds of lean mass (muscle) and gained strength. I still continue with the basic philosphy of the macrobiotic way (whole organic foods), but eat less carbohydrate. I am curious if any of you on this list have heard of this diet or tried it? Would in interested to hear your comments. If you are not aware of it you can read about it at http://www.zoneperfect.com Thanks
