Hi Donna:

Wow, isn't that funny what kinds of connection between

symptoms you can find out through joining these clubs?

Too bad doctors don't monitor these very closely.

They might be able to find a correlation between

diseases like the ones we have.

Hi Donna

I too have the spider veins on my cheeks and across my nose. Eighteen

years ago I had the first one 'removed' from my nose by a dermatologist

and ended up with a more visible and larger scar than ever the vein was.

So I decided not to do anything more but learn to live with them.

It seems funny to me that I look like an alcoholic when I might drink only

3 glasses of wine in an entire year.

Last week I went back to my old family doctor for the results of a huge

panel of blood work. He tells me that I may have lupus and has sent

me for more blood work. Three techs and four stabs later they managed

to get their tube of blood. And I am waiting for results. I

looked it up on the web and came across a picture of a woman with lupus.

Apparently there is a 'butterfly' shaped reddish facial marking characteristic

to lupus. It sure looked like my face. Needless to say,

I'm not very pleased about that possibility.

I guess what I'm trying to say is do get it checked out. We don't

all have lupus, but seems strange that so many of us have broken capiliaries

on our faces, doesn't it.

Haven't been on for a few days - I find that when I'm bothered I tend

to pull into myself until I've come through it. In my own way it's

my way of dealing with some stress. Internalizing works for me sometimes.

Not others. But most days I at least log on and read what's happening.

On the positive I can report that 22 months after my diagnosis of GD

my thryoid levels are 'normal'. I opted for RAI looking for a quick

and easy fix. Wrong....

Keep up the good fight everyone.

Hi,

Barb. Welcome to the group. I believe that I may have cea.

Not bad yet, but there are strange red spots and what look like spider

veins on both cheeks under my eyes. Sound familiar, at all? Donnahttp://trak.to/life

Re: Mona

Hi all! I'm new to the group so I thought I'd

introduce myself.

My thyroid has been giving me trouble since about 13

years old. It started off as being hyper and now I

think it's turned hypo because I'm taking synthroid

now. That being the case, I decided to join both the

hypo and hyper groups on .

To give you all some background, I'm 43 married with

one son. We live in LA, CA and have two cats. I also

have a thing called cea which I'm debating is

connected to my hyperactive thryroid. Do any of you

have cea too? Let me know. Thanks.
