Guest guest
Al, Oasis is a pretty good hospital for alt cancer therapy. The place is sincere and the patients tend to be upbeat. But, I don't believe for one second those percentages that you gave. I find it hard to believe that they even said that. Perhaps they said that 50 - 75 % benefitted from the their therapies. I would say that this is true. One thing that I like about old Dr Contreras is that he did not exaggerate his success rates when he gave talks at the CCS convention. Most clinic representatives grossly exaggerate cure rates and there is no good way to find out the truth. Your cancer is extremely serious. It is not a good idea to hold off any therapy for another 3 weeks. There are risks of several different types of obstruction, of pneumonia, of septicemia, of internal fistulas, and of liver failure. Can you make it to the Cancer Control Society convention in LA this coming week end? You might talk to representatives from a number of clinics to help make an informed decision. I hope to see you there. Oasis Of Hope > I'm Al Hart, 68, and three years ago I had colon cancer. Forthree > years it was fine but got a cat-scan and found liver cancer. Thanking > you I am, > Alfred Hart Alfred, More reasonable stat would be about 20-25% success rate (maybe as high as 35%) for the later stage cancers. I would call and talk to one of the doctor's assistants at Oasis by calling 888-500-4673 and confirm the stats for your particular type of cancer and staging. We refer a lot of people to Oasis who are very late stage and who I worry might not make it who do. Of course, not everyone does. Oasis is set up to meet almost anything that could happen while you are there, whereas some of the other facilities would require you to go to the emergency room at another hospital if something came up while you were there. Oasis can handle this because they have surgical facilities, etc. They work with mind/body...diet, killing cancer cells while building the immune system, and they use a variety of approaches to do this. The one caution I make when I refer people to Oasis is more for when you go home. Many continue home therapy using a catheter. The catheters they use are prone to infection and you need to be sure that you understand how to keep it clean and how to use it properly so that you don't run into this when you get home. And of most importance is that when you do go home that you continue to follow the protocol set up by the doctor. This gives your greatest chance of long term success. We'd be happy to connect you with some people who have gone to Oasis that you can talk to if you would like. Question - What was your reason for waiting so long to go? Guest guest
Al, check this site out its the Hansi Treatment done right there in California. I think they can do injections into the stomach so you wouldn't have to do the vein thing. It is Dr. Shaw his number is on the website. Also, Hyperthermia can be given to organs to shrink the tumors. That better than chemo or raditation. http://www.drshawlac.tothe.net/hansiwo2.html http://www.drshawlac.tothe.net/articles.html Good luck..and prayers Irene
Guest guest
From: " hanna_wagari " <hanna_wagari@...> > I am looking into Oasis of Hope for cancer treatment. > Was wondering if anyone has any experience with this clinic in Mexico. I've visited it many times and know a lot about it. Good, ethical, expensive (about $7000/wk). Good though somewhat limited range of treatments--laetrile/ " metabolic " therapy (their main treatment), dental detox, Autologous Vaccine (not used very often), Polyatomic Apheresis/Polyatomic Oxygen Therapy, high-tech ozone, Hyper Oxygen Plus Therapy, extra-corporeal systemic oxygenation (ESO), Spiritual/Emotional Support (strong Christian orientation but warmly welcomes everyone); healthy, organic food. Most comprehensive hospital facilities of any Tijuana clinic-- " set up to meet almost anything that could happen...whereas some of the other facilities would require you to go to the emergency room at another hospital....Many continue home therapy using a catheter " They also have a separate Issels therapy program (same price), which is also very effective (for people who haven't had chemo). Listed in the books Alt. Med. Def. Guide to Cancer (alternativemedicine.com) and Evaluating Alternative Cancer Therapies (Hess) (see chapters on Contreras). For more info, www.charm.net/~kkdk/oasis_html www.cancer-survivor.org/journals/index.shtml (patient report) www.cancercontrolsociety.com/FranciscoContreras.htm (medical director) www.cancure.org/oasis_hospital.htm The Cure Research Foundation (ph 800-282-2873; fax 805-498-4868; www.cancure.org; ccf@... or info@...) may be able set up a free consultation with Oasis. > They seem pretty reputable. They are. Any specific questions? Questions about their effectiveness w/a particular type of cancer?
Guest guest
I considered visiting the Oasis of Hope but had difficulty communicating with them. I sent lots of my records to them but was unable to get anyone that I could fully understand or that responded well. I also learned there are other Mexican Clinics and one, in particular, The San Diego Clinic named for its closeness to San Diego. It has a good reputation and is much less costly than most and especially Oasis which I have heard is very costly. My efforts go back to 2004 and a practitioner that frequents this list had suggested I didn't need a clinic visit at that time. So far he has been correct. I never did visit a clinic but did visit in 2004 and again in 2005 on a cross-country driving trip. I would like to visit the San Diego Clinic, but as a spectator not a patient and see first hand. I have spoken with someone that did spend time there and had gave the staff and the Chief Physician very high marks. Another contributor to this list, Leonard, gave a report on Mexican clinics and one he gave a good report on was San Diego as well as 's efforts with that clinic. Joe C. " I do not know what it would cost and you can look back where I said, " I have heard " leaving the verification up to people that would be wise enough to 'check around' before jumping as I almost did. It would make sense to explore more and then ask these clinics whether or not they do 'Live Cell Therapy'. Is this something you have found to be useful for whatever situation you are involved with? Share with us why you think this might be useful. A good source of information on Mexican Clinics was given to us by Leonard but, unfortunately, I my computer crashed and I lost a lot of the reports I had and those I purchased from Ralph Moss (cancer Decisions)with one on Mexican Clinics and others on Herceptin and Anti-Oxidants and their involvement with Chemotherapy. (sigh) I didn't have them backed up! It's late now and I'll be doing a grandparent thing for the next two days and need rest. ha! Joe C.
