Guest guest
, This is what I have found from my archived articles: Date: Mon, 31 Oct 2005 From: " foxeskimo " Subject: a diet to help in cancer I recommend you look into Ann Wigmore Centers in Michigan and Puerto Rico and San Diego and Austin Texas and also get books about wheatgrass and raw and living foods... Dr has now discovered that Rose Hips that you can get in a health food store - easiest is cut and sifted in jars from herb companies - Frontier Brand will do - is better than regular ascorbate and has no processing metals - .... Try Stanmar's Thyroid and other glandular treatment - in Midvale Utah - they do mail order - have pretty good herbal tinctures. --clear up the lymphatics in your body - see Life Extension Books by Harvey Diamond - the third one talks all about lymphatic mess and cancer. Find out about healing this with herbs from Dr Schulze's website herbdoc.com and 1-800-herb-doc, and Dr 's cleansing herbs formulas The Herb Shop in Springville, Utah - his formula Adrenetone also helps the thyroid. eat a LOT of kelp powdered from Frontier brand in bulk or their capsules - also do bags of seaweed Kombu (a kelp very high in calcium) and wakame and some dulse - eat TONS every day - many handfuls - great for the thyroid with natural iodine and rebuilds the body at a deep level - see Tierra - herbalist. Use as your foundation a raw and living food diet very very very heavy on raw organic dark green LEAFY vegetables like kale (has a lot of VIT C), collards, parsley, spinach, chards, cilantro, dark lettuces, especially beet greens and very very expecially dandelion greens. Even Comfrey leaf from a garden - you can even grow it indoors - and Alfalfa. Comfrey has alantoin that heals all the body cells and alfalfa has tremendous mineral healing value - helps the heart and adrenals, too. Use comfrey root powder and alfalfa powder from hlth FS if needed. Get a Green Life juicer or a Champion Juicer. If you cannot afford a good juicer than chop veggies up finely and with distilled water put in a blender and make a mush and eat 5x/day. Drink 2 qts of green juice a day - drink wheatgrass juice 2-4 oz a day but take it easy in beginning and get yourself muscle tested for wg allergies. Drink carrot juice freshly made from home or juice bar - bottled stuff is already pasturized so enzymes are dead. See Howell's book Enzyme Nutrition. Also Wheatgrass, Nature's Finest Medicine by Steve Meyerowitz, also Ann Wigmore's The Wheatgrass Book. See their books on sprouting, too, as they tell you what is good. Clover sprouts are very high in calcium and magnesium. You need enzymes in your food. See anything you can on enzyme and raw foods by Dr Kelley who was a dentist who cured his cancer with that and with alkalinity for the tumor kind of cancer. He was famous in the 1960's. ENZYMES enable the other remedies to do more. Enzymes from fresh raw foods are more effective than the powdered stuff. But if you eat cooked food and if your pancreas is weak - which Dr Kelley found is an issue for cancer - then get the best powdered enzymes you can and get tested for compatibility to you. For alkaline versus acid info see Mucousless Diet Healing System by Prof Arnold Ehret - CHEAP, and see the table he references but do not eat the soy or coffee. Look at the fruits and vegs. See the book Alkalize or Die. Green leaves have a lot of potassium and at Univ of Texas they found cancer patients have too much sodium versus potassium. Also, cancer patients have too much acidic in their cells (citrus is alkaline) and you need more alkalinity in the cell ash from raw fruits and vegetables - change your terrain, do not just try to kill the pathogens that live in the terrain. People who have the longest cures and best health regenerations improve their bodies. Dandelion and Beet greens have the most magnesium of the greens which the body uses to provide alkalinity, improve calcium use, & remove pathogens. These veg's have tremendous body rebuilding and they have a lot of beta carotene which is a safe way to heal the liver and provide the body to make vit A which was found to work to heal cancer and has a great effect on improving all the tissues. Also get The Bragg Healthy LIfestyle and their Miracle of Fasting Book -- Dr Norman 's books, Become Younger and Fresh Veg and Fruit Juices -- Bauer's The Juicing Book. Do not worry about RAW veg oxylic acid as it helps the calcium but the cooked veg's like spinach and chard alter the structure of the oxylic acid to inhibit the calcium, see Fresh Veg and Fruit juices book by . He lived over 100 years. Bragg lived to 93, died in an accident. Wigmore lived healthfully after curing her cancer and died in a fire at 84. Get a mini trampoline and a skin brushing dry brush. Get The Golden Seven Plus One from the International Center for Lymphology in Utah - author C. West - best book I have read ever on lymphatics healing. Parasite cleanses from Dr and the zapper are good. wrote: My 19 year old step sister has just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I am in shock, how does that happen? What causes it? Guest guest
, I have a non-cancerous lump - sometimes referred to as a goiter - on my thryroid. I take 1 grain (60 mg) of natural thyroid hormone (porcine) and 3 drops of Lugol's half-strength drops in juice, on a daily basis. You can call Nutri-Meds at 888 265-3353 or 307 773-0411 and they can get you in touch with a doctor in your area that can test your sister's thyroid. I don't know - they may be able to direct you to one that handles thyroid cancer. You can check out the website too: www.nutri-meds.com/thyroid.htm Good luck and good health to your sister! Guest guest
wow 19 year old has thyroid cancer. how did they find it? Does she live in the great lakes area? Thats the goiter belt. its also a cancer belt.... Thyroid problems go hand and hand with cancer. I have some info on thyroid problems on my hard drive. I will forward it to you i just sent it to someone on the Gods diet group. Cantron helps with thyroid problems. I am taking it for that and it helps with cancer. It helps with most treatments. Check out things i put in the files on that group. Cancerchoices.com is not allowed to say it will do anything for cancer because they will be raided by the FDA again. Guest guest
, I couldnt forward that email. it was to large... I will send you one page. You will not believe what is bad for the thyroid. Its everything that we know is good to fight cancer. You really need to talk to a doctor about this. This doctor that wrote this also has a book on cancer i do not have it yet. His web site would be http://www.oreganol.com It would have to be up to you guys what to do. I know that when I was eating all the things that are on this page that is not good for the thyroid, I gained like 20 pounds in about a month so I believe this doctor knows something. NO spinach unless cooked is just one thing. No carrots unless cooked... Carrot juice works wonders on Cancer! If you want the dvd of data, I am burning them now. SO sorry about this. I have to re-do Dr. Rath's dvd per my tv because I cant get it off my hard drive because the program will not work anymore. But I have a ton of info on the dvd on cancer. Any one that wants a dvd with info on Cantron send me your addresses off-list. I am off of work so I have been working on it. My birthdays today so I do not know if I will be able to finish it. But everyone will be getting all the info out this week....I am going to have post some links and some on-line books. Guest guest
There is an interesting book addressing the subject, however, it is titled 'Breast cancer and Iodine by Dr. M. Derry, MD, PhD. It is not a large book at 109 pages with some of them references. Whether or not this will speak to one's Thyroid Cancer I cannot attest to, however as one favorite practitioner on this list once said, " it starts someone thinking 'outside the box'. People, families, only accustomed to conventional medicine, need to be moved slowly 'outside the box' of conventional treatments, however, it is not an easy task. Good luck. Joe C. Guest guest
Hi CG ) I have a question or two for you. Regarding your biopsies, how do they come to 90%? Are they telling you that radiation is not in the picture because of the size of your nodules? If you feel you have thyroid problems, you probably do, I would take your temperature in the morning before you rise for about a week. I would also check your adrenal, vitamin D, and hormone levels, as well as, any other blood tests that show any deficiences. I was told that thyroid symptoms can look like cancer and not be cancer. I have 2 nodules (one on each side) and over the years they shrink some and grow some and stay the same for very long periods. I am doing the Budwig Protcol in part and have noticed a change in a few areas of my health. I choose not to lose my thyroid at this point in my life and will try different things before surgery. I am wondering why your surgeon will wait 3 months before he goes in again? My surgeon said he would take biopsies from both nodules and send them off and if cancerous go back within 3 days or so when they get the results back, therefore better healing is attained. My Endo reccommended a total thyroidectomy too, and I didn't like that idea. Why will your Endo have problems monitering the other nodule? My Endo said nutrition alone doesn't work and got somewhat excited about it, I believe differently in my heart and I believe in jumping outside of the box and that is how I have walked. Fear probably is a companion of yours at this point but you have time to decide and make good choices, be informed first. Warm regards, Carol " coppertone.girl " <coppertone.girl@...> wrote: Hi everyone. I am seeking information/help about thyroid cancer alternative treatments. I have a 2cm nodule on the right side of my thyroid. (You can't even tell it is there - the only reason it was discovered was during a routine doctor's appointment when the doctor was feeling my glands and said it seemed enlarged.) My thyroid hormone levels are apparently normal, although personally I do think I may have a slightly low thyroid (ie. my hands and feet are always cold, I am sluggish in the morning, etc) Anyway, after 2 ultrasound biopsies I've been told there is 90% chance it is papillary thyroid cancer. However it seems to be contained on the one side only. The surgeon I am seeing recommended that he do a partial thyroidectomy. He said there is only a 5% chance that the other side has cancer...but that he won't be able to tell for sure until after the surgery when they analyze the pathology reports. And worst case scenario I'd have to have a 2nd surgery to remove the whole thing 3 months later. He does not at this point recommend any radioactive iodine treatments for me. However, my endocrinologist is recommending a total thyroidectomy up front. She said there is a 30% chance I have smaller, microscopic cancers growing on the other side independently of the bigger nodule. That means I would be on synthetic thyroid hormones for the rest of my life. (she said if I get the partial thyroidectomy, since my thyroid is working well right now, there is a good chance the half would function fine, but the problem with that is she wouldn't be able to monitor it as well if I did develop cancer on the other side in the future) So now I don't know what to do since they are not really in agreement! I am also wondering if there is any other way. So many people have told me that thyroid cancer is the " good cancer " and why don't I just get out the whole thing and be done with it. Yet something inside me says well do I really want to get rid of an entire organ in my body? Might that not have a worse effect on my health? I am wondering if there is anyone here who can point me to any resources or share their personal experience. I am open to changing my lifestyle/diet - in fact i am seeing a naturopathic doctor who has me on a special diet right now. But can diet alone reverse cancer cells??? Any help you can give would be much appreciated. CG --------------------------------- Never miss a thing. Make your homepage.
Guest guest
My sister had her whole thyroid taken out. She is fine now. Takes a pill for life, and when feeling low, takes 3 tablespoons of virgin coconut oil to prep her up.
Guest guest
I'd like to start by saying a big " THANK YOU!!! " to everybody for all the information provided and please keep it coming. CG, We're in the same boat, I'm trying to avoid total thyroidectomy as well because my biopsy was inconclusive and I think it's common practice for the endo to recommend that (my personal take on that is to cover their own butts). My ayurveda herbalist recommended to start with a liver cleanse and a change of diet. Cancer cells feed on sugar, so I eliminated anything that has sugar or could convert into sugar in the digestion process. That means I completely eliminated sugar, dairy, starches (potato and the like), gluten (any flours and white rice) and processed foods from my diet. I eat only limited amounts of sweet fruit, lots of veggies and greens, eggs (free range), fish (only couple of times/week because of the mercury content), some nuts, and also free range meats (chicken or lamb are my personal preferences). This diet is called the paleolitic diet. All food has to be as clean and organic as possible. Some people do not agree with the meat consumption, I was vegetarian for many years and I was reluctant to putting meat into my body, but maybe it's not the meat itself, but the hormones, antibiotics, unhappiness of the animal that is toxic. That's my take on that one. Before I changed my diet I had the same symptoms you describe, cold hands and feet, felt sluggish, found it impossible to lose weight, found it hard to tolerate cold. After 3 months on it though, my weight is back to normal (I only had 10-15 lbs extra that really bothered me because I wasn't used to carrying that much weight around), my energy level has gone up, I can finally enjoy a day snowshoeing because I can tolerate cold and my feet and hands don't feel cold anymore. My concern right now is that my nodules have slightly increased in size since my last ultrasound, and I don't know if that happened before I did the lifestyle changes and hopefully that stopped them, or kept growing the whole time. I guess for me it's wait and see what the next ultrasound shows... I'm sure the endo at my next visit will try to persuade me (again) to have a thyroidectomy, but I think there has to be a better way, especially when the diagnostic isn't clear. Good luck Alea " coppertone.girl " <coppertone.girl@...> wrote: I am seeking information/help about thyroid cancer alternative treatments. I have a 2cm nodule on the right side of my thyroid.
