Guest guest
I started having red hands about 2 years ago, before I was diagnosed. Do you think that was a sign early on that I had AIH??? Also, I didn't notice an odor, but I had night sweats like crazy, so I'm sure that wasn't pleasant. I would wake during the night and change pajamas and sometimes take a shower. Something I've developed is red blotchy skin just on my right cheek, not on the other. Anyone know about that?????? Sounds sort of like rosecea, but only on one side. in LA
Guest guest
Hi Christ and welcome to the group. There's alot of information here for you. Just ask.... I have a wonderful gastro doc who is studying to be a hepatologist, so most of his patients are liver related. He's really good and I hope he's not just in it for the money. when I was first sick he called me at home to check on me often. He didn't have to do that. I'm not sure about your question regarding hospitals......we have several acute care hospitals in our area that are well known, so that's where I would probably go. I do not have cirrhosis, just moderate scarring for now. So, I'm not facing the transplant as of yet and hopefully not anytime soon. I was on Pred for about 8 months and have been on Imuran for over a year and will probably on it forever. So far I've been in remission about 4 months and I thank God everyday because I know I could become symptomatic at any time. The best way to help yourself I've found is to not give up, talk with this group and pray. it has helped me tremendously. Take care, in LA

Guest guest
, Are you anywhere near menopause age? Those night sweats often come with the change of life. I don't think that for most companies, the prices are highly inflated. The overall profit is probably the same. It seems inflated, because the profit is not distributed among many middle men like packagers, shippers, wholesalers, retailers, advertising, etc. I am involved with an MLM, but find many claims to be suspicious. The problem that I see is the claims that come from distributors, and in some cases, the companies themselves. Because I am a healthcare consultant, I am often approached by people claiming that their product " cures cancer " . It is silly to think that juice capsules, or soaps, or anything else like that cures cancer. I think that many seriously ill people are mislead and given false hope with claims like that. Whether or not these people making the claims actually believe it, I don't know. Does it ever happen? I am sure that when thousands of people try a product, someone will have a remission of symptoms, whether it is related to that product, or another product they are using, or just a coincidence. These claims are not fair to desperate people who are looking for anything that will help them.

The balance between the two is important. Another way to deal with this is to assure at least two hours of natural sunlight daily and plenty of exercise.
