Guest guest
Darlene, Probably the best thing to give your sister is information. Have here go http://www.drday.com/ There are alot of different " stuff " she could be on for prevention. Lycopene is safe, I would also take CoQ10 which is even more researched. Essiac/714X/Hoxsey formula the list for preventative strategy is endless. Tamoxifen may prevent a reoccurance of breast cancer, but it has a nasty side effects of causing uterine cancer. One must be aware of what the effects are of everything that goes in the body. Is it working with nature and the body or against it. Hope this helps, Rand , Herbalist tofu3_owear <tofu3_owear@...> wrote: hello, my name is darlene. my sister was diagonosed with breast cancer in september 1998, she had surgury and 1 positive node removed and then 6 months chemo and 6 months radiation. she was then put on tamoxifen and she is still on it. lately she has had been going to the bathroom alot to urinate and im afraid this might be a sign of ovarian cancer or uterine cancer, what do you think? she has no other symptoms but that. also, do you think lycopene is good to take along with medicines like tamoxifen? i think she would like to take stuff that prevents a reoccurance. please help as i am very worried. Guest guest
Do not underestimate the importance of diet in preventing cancer. I cannot help but notice the word " tofu " in your nickname. Soy is highly touted as a " wonder food " and " health food " stores shelves are lined with soy products. This may be evidence of what ADM's billion-dollar advertising budget has accomplished. There is a dark side to soy that it would behove you to learn about. A good place to start is <http://www.westonaprice.org/soy/soy_alert.html>. Many claims made by the food industry are bogus including the benefits of unsaturated fats vs. saturated fats. For example, " health food " store shelves are also laden with products containing Canola (rapeseed) oil. The fact is that the high temperatures used during the deodorizing process required to produce Canola create Trans Fatty Acids, proven causes of coronary heart disease and cancer. There is a lot of conflicting information out on the Web. Let the buyer beware! >hello, my name is darlene. my sister was diagonosed with breast >cancer in september 1998, she had surgury and 1 positive node removed >and then 6 months chemo and 6 months radiation. she was then put on >tamoxifen and she is still on it. lately she has had been going to >the bathroom alot to urinate and im afraid this might be a sign of >ovarian cancer or uterine cancer, what do you think? she has no other >symptoms but that. also, do you think lycopene is good to take along >with medicines like tamoxifen? i think she would like to take stuff >that prevents a reoccurance. please help as i am very worried. -- -- Neil Jensen: neil@... -- http://www.sumeria.net/ If you want to inspire confidence, give plenty of statistics. Guest guest
Also try this link. Gives a good history of how soy came to be part of our diet.
