Guest guest
Hi, My dad developed tongue cancer, around April this year was when it was first observed, he is 80 yrs old, a diabetic for the past 40yrs under control with tablets and human insulin. Doctors here advised radiation and but were not sure how much he could handle and if it would help, we opted out for homeopathy. We came to know of budwig diet in May,and started the protocol in earnest around mid June. Homeopathy helped initially to control pain in ear and sleep. Saliva would flow, and we were told this was due to the growth inside the mouth, as also toxins comming out.At times the sputum was very thick, difficult to remove out. By mid July the lump in his throat and tongue had decresed 90%, no longer touched the lymph node etc. Exactly two days later he came down with flu, also his sugar levels were quite erratic, we tried to control it by reducing tablets and insulin, however it fluctuated every few days, couple of days it went very low 35/40, flu led to cough, and more sputum, by mid Aug we noticed a 2nd lump developing on the tongue, this was in the center to the back and he soon could not drink fluids, however he could take semisolids so FO/CC went in, but we reduced FS intake. After a couple of weeks the lump stabilised, he started to drink in a few ounces of tender coconut water, by then he had lost a lot of weight, sputum continued. At present he can take in few glasses of tender coconut water, with difficulty, as soon as he puts a sip in his mouth he stats to cough and sputum , thick saliva flows out (clear white), this takes up a lot of energy, he has now lost a lot of weight, and has become quite weak. couple of days agao we switched from cottage cheese to quark, he then coughed and threw out sputum all night, now he has stopped FO/CC altogether is on homeopathy and wholegrain mashed up meals with vegtables and lots of papaya, we also give him sea salt which has helped improve enegy a little, sputum has decreased slightly, lump seems to have swollen slightly, still has trouble with fluids. Would like to know if others with oral cancer have faced this situation with sputum/thick saliva? Any suggestions on why Budwig diet that worked well the first month is not helping much now? His heamoglobin is at 10.3, RBC count is 4.2. ESR at 70, saliva/sputum is alkaline at 7.5, urine sometime back was a t 6.ph, all else is normal. Any suggestions? thx shubha Any suggestions about reducing tablets and insulin, however it fluctuated every few day also.
