Guest guest
Hi, Forgot to mention that there are lawyers who specialize in SSDI cases, even some who specialize in CFS/FM cases for SSDI. Get one of those if you can. Also, most SSDI attorneys will work on contingency, which is limited by law to (I think - it's been a few years now) 1/4 of the lump-sum past benefits payment up to a max of $2000. This is for cases resolved at administrative law judge level, which is where almost all CFS/FM cases are resolved if benefits are denied at first. I believe the limit is now $4000. That's what they took from my settlement in April 2000. Donna in NC
Guest guest
Thoughts on Food etc., Hi y'all. I am having terrible time keeping up with all the posts, but I hugely appreciate them and just want to throw in 2 cents worth: I've been grossly overweight my entire life, and I'm losing now, slowly...should be losing much more as I've just undertaken BFL as committment to myself. Did first UBWO yesterday, am very sore. Didn't break a sweat, but muscles shook everywhere! Anyway, I don't cook so my experience may not count much with people who can, but what is working best for me is a food plan that doesn't necessarily produce any interest in eating. I still eat what I really like, but it's limited. Yogurt with fruit and cottage cheese for breakfast, a balance bar, and 3 servings of can of tuna, cup of beans, 4 cups vegies, and tbsp. of flaxseed oil. I also take excellent vitamin-mineral supplement, All One People, and lecithin. About 1300 calories, 22% fat, 28% protein. And I love salmon so I just microwave it 2-3 times a week. I know this is boring, regimented and limited, but it works for me. I'm learning to derive joy and comfort and love and anticipatory pleasure from things other than food...also, Tiffiny, about scoliosis: I have it and kyphosis, ruptured discs, and the only thing that has ever made a great difference is exercise. I did weight lifting to rehab my spine at one point. 8-10 sessions of neuromuscular massage therapy is also a great boon now and then, is like Rolfing but better. Breaks up knots and connective tissue that might otherwise inhibit stretching. Well, thanks for being here everyone.

Guest guest
For my husband, they have removed it 3 times, first two times with a needle. Second time they surgically implanted tubes for drainage. They also used some sort of talc to try to keep it from building up again, then used bleomycin to try to burn and seal. They cannot tap the lung repeatedly, because you lose protein along with the fluid. They may tap a few times, and then they do the chest tubes with the sterile talc. The procedure is called a pleurodesis. If it fails the first time, they can try and re-do it. Sometimes it doesn't take the first time, but is successful on the second try. Guest guest
Hi and thanks for your comment. I went back to the dr. today and he says the biopsy is not necessary. I have genotype 3a and will start my treatment next week. He said there is a higher chance of recovery for this genotype. My viral load was 282,400,000 I think. He said this was high but not to worry about that. What exactly does the number on the viral load tell? basit hussain <basithussain@...> wrote: Hi Stephnie, if ur alt and ast are not so high then go directly to the treatment, dont go for biopsy coz its hurts a lot. bye.
