Jo,

I strongly recommend and inversion table. Not only

can this help with the pain, but it can sometimes

allow the disk to ease back in place.

I was 15 when I had a ruptured disk and had surgery

when I was 16. It was the biggest mistake of my life.

I am now 31 and still having pain after six surgeries.

Do all you can to avoid surgery while he is young. If

he has to, then he has to, just try EVERYTHING first!

Hey Jo

While inversion tables are great, if you can afford it a traction table would be

much more worth the money.

Inversion can be very uncomfortable. Also, not usually recommended for people

with high blood pressure or circulation issues.

A traction table will probably give him the results he is looking for and will

definitely help the healing process. Which can prevent having to have surgery

altogether.

Good luck to him.

Hello,

I have been a lurker on this list for some time now. My son who is just 19 (will

be 20 on Jan 28) has almost constant back pain. He has had an MRI which showed

mild bulging at L4-5 but according to the doctor " nothing to be concerned

about " . I hate seeing him in pain. He is wanting to try an inversion table and

I'm considering buying one for his birthday.

Can you give me any feedback on inversion tables?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I agree with . Avoid surgery if you can.

Sounds like what he has going on would respond well to traction.

Also, if you can get your doctor to prescribe it, a TENS unit would help with

the discomfort as well.

By the way, HI TRACY!!!.
