Hi Tina, sorry it took me so long to answer, have been on the go the last 2

days and this is the first chance I have had to get caught up. Thanks for the

advice, I work upper on Monday and will do the exercised that don't hurt. I

have not tried ice or heat, I always get confused which one to use, lol. can you

tell me? It only hurts with certian movements now it was with every right arm

movement, so it's getting better. Thanks

Hi , it is not general soreness, kinda like a sharp pain with certian

movements. I do believe it is getting better as it did hurt with every right

arm movement. I do upper Monday and will just do the ones that don't hurt. You

sound like a real strong and determined person to keep lifting with pain, guess

I'm a wimp when it comes to pain, lol. Thanks!

I think the best substitute for dairy is Companion Nutrients from

www.naturesdistributors.com/BioSan%20products/co (800-624-7114) or

www.sullivancreek.com. I've heard to use 1 capsule per tablespoon of flax seed

oil. " one capsule per tablespoon of oil [between/before meals]. "

I think the next best substitute may be egg yolk from organic/Omega-3 eggs.

As a last resort, I might use soft tofu, Ezekiel bread, peas, lentils, or

onions.

I would ask the questions re dairy substitutes in the BUdwig protocol on that

list.... flaxseedoil2

THe cultured low fat dairy is included because the of sulfurated amino acids

it contains. Soy does not contain those...... I am not sure of the sulfur

proteins in bread, peas or lintils. Garlic and onions are sulfur rich, but I am

not sure that it is in the same form as in cultured dairy product.

Dr BUdwig uses BOTH ground flaxseed and flaxseed oil in her protocol. THere

is a list called flaxhealth that focuses on the nutritional value of flaxseed.

ok, I already know now what you mean. I actually bought it some time ago.

It's a black box, and and as far as I know it's also the only brand of flax seed

in Israel. I wasn't very satisfied because they sent to the local health

store their non-organic brand (they said they have one organic and one

non-organic) and they kept it non-refrigerated

for several days before it arrived to the shop. And then, the health store

has a very small refrigerator and she couldn't put it inside... so it was a

mess and then I decided I can't trust it anymore and stopped...

Whole flaxseed does not need to be refrigerated.

It is the flaxseed OIL that must be refrigerated AFTER OPENING. Flaxseed OIL

gets rancid easily.

Both ground flaxseed and flaxseed oil are included in Johanne Budwig's

protocol.

EFA there is a special product for it, of 100 mg methionine,

of the company Natures Distributions. Do you know this company?

I received this answer from a person who had cancer and improved by the

Budwig protocol.

Hi Shari, I suggest using the kefir Whey, not the kefir grains or milk portion.

When kefir (over) ferments it separates into curds (creamy white cottage cheese

type) and whey (clear liquid portion). The clear liquid contains both the lactic

bacteria (beneficial bacteria) that help break down the meat plus beneficial

acids (lactic acid and acetic acid) that break down the meat as well. The whey

also has minerals from the milk. That is why the whey is also so much more sour

tasting then the curds.

Hi,

I am Shari. New to the group and culturing and fermenting. Only about 1 month,

I got my cultures myself for Christmas. I am totally into this for health

reasons and having great fun. I feel so good since drinking kefirs both milk

and water and eating yogurts. I have gone totally overboard and loving every

moment.

I tenderized ribs the other day with milk kefir. I added a few grains. Boy was

it tough. I marinated about 24 hours. Too strong for meat or just tough meat?
