Thanks for the information. Do you know how long the vaccine must be used ?

I am living and working in Japan so if you have difficulty let me know and I can help out. Also faxing is a good way to contact him at the number listed below. His fax number is 813-3824-6400 and phone number is 813-3822-2131. I just spoke with him on the phone and the procedure is to get the patients attending doctor to write and fax a letter supporting the use of the Maruyama vaccine (I can fax or email you an abstract of the vaccine's effectiveness - from an independant scientific study -if the doctor is unaware of the vaccine.). Once the letter is received the patient has to send a bank draft or bank cheque to the hospital for 30,000 yen about $360 CDN. This is enough vaccine for 80 days. This is not a true vaccine. The Maruyama strategy is one of immuring cancercells by socking them in with stromal tissue. The excess collagen andfibronectin produced further help the cancer evade immune attack. It wouldwork exactly the opposite of those strategies that use enzymes and vaccinesto clean out this mess so as to better expose the aberrant cells (with theirdistinctive surface markers) to immune surveillance and response. This stategy is no different than any other fatalistic school of cancertreatment. It won't kill cancer and it stops the immune system from killingcancer, but it does slow down its growth. It the US we have analogousfatalistic strategies. The deceptive key word is "inhibition." Wheneveryou read of cancer being inhibited you know that patient is experiencing amore protracted form of death. This is very desirable to the pharmaceuticalcompanies as it allows them to wrench every last penny or yen from yourdying grasp., I assume that you are well intentioned. In the future I recommendthat when you see scientistic [sic]writeups that you scour them for weaselwords like "may" and "possibly." There are scores of similar stategies just

miserable as this mail order "vaccine" and marketeers all use the same evasive

language.

, if you are part of the company then I would be happy to have an open

internet debate with your company scientists as to the merits of this product.

Thanks much for information. Have passed it on to Bladder cancer list. The spark plug and originator of the list Sheridan wendy@... has expressed interest and is our resident expert on things medical. Hope you can get together. Works out of houseboat in Holland. She also has established a data base http://blewebcafe.org a work in progress to provide information and place for new people to be brought up to speed, works well. Positive lives have benefited and extended by information. Your information on vaccine for end stage cancer if affective would with out question save lives. A new direction in treatment.Thousands die each year needlessly for lack of information. Internet allows a few to make a difference.

Ron

PS- asked a good question ( do you know how long the vaccine must be used?) what is protocol?

Your not shy about expressing an opinion, most reasonable people do their homework first or at least read carefully. First their was immune failure, chem. failure, this an attempt to contain before death. The possibly of locking it up long term at this point is new as far as I know in standard medicine.

.. ( It would work exactly the opposite of those strategies that use enzymes and vaccines to clean out this mess so as to better expose the aberrant cells (with their distinctive surface markers) to immune surveillance and response.)

Cure is of course better, If you have such a strategy, and can convince standard medicine to use it we would save much early death. I am interested.

Are you familiar with the ames test. measures a marker produced when the immune system attacks a cancer. Test shows that with wide spread cancer immune system stops attack. You die.

To condemn with out examineing is not science, to blindly use with out examining would be stupid.

I have gained the impression from your post that one should die now rather than latter. Some one may make a profit. having faced my mortally three times this year, 3 months in hospital, Beat the odds. I like waking up in the morning with my wife and four children.

"After treatment with SSM (Maruyama Vaccine), patients and experimental animals bearing tumors remained alive with tumors long term. We conclude from these results that SSM acts by inducing encapsulation of tumor growths, possibly preventing their spread and metastasis, and that SSM may benefit patient in whom tumor is inoprable and resistant to conventional chemotherapy."Few things are certain in life, but this person using conventional treatment leaves little question. The need is to break the barrier set up by standard medicine to other treatments.

,

I don't want to argue with a person who is currently having such a rough go of it. I will take on pharmaceutical company scientists and their marketing cadre. But let me just quote your quote:

"After treatment with SSM (Maruyama Vaccine), patients and experimental animals bearing tumors remained alive with tumors long term. We conclude from these results that SSM acts by inducing encapsulation of tumor growths, possibly preventing their spread and metastasis, and that SSM may benefit patient in whom tumor is inoperable and resistant to conventional chemotherapy."

This strategy is consistant with the conventional goal of disease management and not truly ridding oneself the problem. Surgery and chemo have a very poor win records. Even the owners of the SSM therapy suggest that this vaccine take a back seat to surgery and chemo. Thus it is stating that as a therapy it is less effective than either or both, and that its benefits can be summed up under the hazy "possibly" and "may."

If one is satisfied with therapies that provide seasonal near-death experiences then this is a logical extension.

By the time a tumor is inoperable and by the time a tumor is resistant to conventional chemotherapy [with destruction of the immune system] the cancer has already metastasized to parenchymal tissue in vital organs. So then what is the strategy? What is it going to do to for a lung cancer that has gone to the brain? For ascites? For inflammatory breast cancer? For any of the leukemias or sarcomas? For pancreatic cancer? For histiocytomas?

This mail order nostrum purveyor doesn't break out information as to all the types and circumstances of the cancers that it won't help. The fact is, they don't care. They would like your money. All of it if possible. How much are you willing to pay for hope?

, it is a poor use of your energy to argue with me over treatments. Use that energy to critically assess the merits of candidate treatments for yourself. There are hundreds to screen and some are quite good.

Good luck,
