Guest guest
Hi , I think we've all had doctors who read test results instead of people! The symptoms you described sound very much like the way I felt when I was taking too much Synthroid. If you can, maybe you should think about looking for a different doctor. Guest guest
People with adrenal problems tend to be underweight. Try to find a topdoc because another medicne might work much better! You can look on www.thyroid.about.com or www.armourthyroid.com Many, perhaps most thyroid patients are untreated, undertreated or on the wrong med. Gracia > Hi all. . . In spite of what your doctor says, it sounds to me like Synthroid is definitely not the right medicine for you. To borrow a phrase from Dr. , it sounds like the higher doseage of Synthroid has " pushed you too far in the wrong direction with the wrong medicine. " I was hypothyroid for about 30 years and in the early years, I was very underweight. I was exhausted all the time and often felt like I was literally going crazy mentally and physically. So, it isn't just you! Look for another doctor who treats YOU not your numbers! They are out there and available! It's the way thyroid treatment is going these days, anyway--treating the PERSON rather than the blood tests. Check out those links Gracia sent. Your health and well being is worth it! Good luck! in LA
Guest guest
Hi Mike, yes your TSH level could be right, and as far as I would know the steriods and anti-biotics probably didn't have much to do with it. A lot of doctors treat the numbers (lab readouts) instead of symptoms. It's REALLY REALLY important to try to find one who will at least listen and take you seriously! This can be a lot more challenging than it should be... In the meantime, I know a lot of people with hypothyroidism, myself included, do better limiting " white carbs " by which I mean white bread, white rice, potatoes, sugary things, etc. Have you had a problem with weight gain outside the water retention (which is also pretty common)? Keep logging on for help and encouragement, > Hi, > > I was diagnosed as hypothyroid about 3 months ago, I had gone to the > emergency room because I was all swollen one night, and the doctor > in the ER thought I had an allergic reaction to something, put me on > steroids and anit-biotics, and sent me on my way... Guest guest
Hello, I'm sorry to hear of your condition. Already having surgery last May 06, plus all the research, along with Dr's (alternative) advice this is what I'm currently doing. First thing, cancer LOVES SUGAR, stop eating sugar, plus noodles and carbohydrates turn into sugar. The Budwig Protocol (Flaxseed oil & Cottage Cheese), go to the health food store get some PH Strips and test your PH with your urine. Eating green food will increase your alkaline to help fight off disease, sickness and tumors, if you are acidic your body cannot fight sickness. Raw food will put enzymes in your body, which your body needs. Juicing, (cabbage, carrots and apples). Eat salads with Organic Romaine lettuce, plus cold pressed olive oil, fresh organic garlic. Organic Green tea is great, also if you can find a doctor in your area that will give you intravenous Vitamin C treatments, that will get in your veins immediately. I take supplements, not many though, vitamin C, and a multi Vitamin. Also, I eat very little cooked foods, and limit dairy products and meat products due to all the chemical and pesticides that are used today. In short, this is what I've been doing to keep myself healthy, plus I NEVER, want to go though this again. My tumor marks are in the teens, a normal range is 0-37, so I feel this has been helping me. Good luck and May God Bless you, --- sundance293 wrote: > I have a spot on each lung. I am a 25 year smoker.Having a CT of chest tommorrow.Have quit smoking{before the spots were > found}. Guest guest
First of all you must get determined what these spots are, only then can you begin your plan of action, just in case you are unlucky enough to have the dreaded C word then you might consider staying with this group and also joining Lung-Cancer-Support-Group . I wish you well with your scan results and pray that you only have an infection or something - so far I am a lung cancer survivor but it is early days, I will help you in any way I can.
