Guest guest
, I don't know if the 'white-tongue' syndrome applies to anyone using teas and the other items you mentioned. However it will be interesting. I am delighted that the Essiac Tea worked so well. Perhaps Prostate Cancer responds to that exceptionally well or maybe most other cancers would too. I just don't know. Even if your husband didn't get a complete physiological rest because of all he took, he did avoid a lot of junk we normally consume and added those things supposedly beneficial..............apparently it worked. Guest guest
Hi Kathy, Mel and , Just a small correction if I may. When on long fasts the sign that it is time to break the fast ( " the point of true hunger " ) is not when tongue is (still) coated, but rather when it has nice bright pinkish color to it, similar to color a baby's tongue has . This tells that toxins were eliminated. BTW, there are other signs along the fast, that the person who supervises a long fast will look for, and that may necessitate breaking the fast. It is just my opinion that long and perhaps even intermediate fasts are not appropriate for all cancer patients, certainly not for cachectic. The decision, must depend on the person's general health and condition. If it was me I would not attempt a long water fast (say more than 7-10 days) without supervision. Other than that I think highly of fasts, as good house clean and as theraputic.

What is 'white tongue syndrome'? I've got a white togue. Does it have anything to do with chemo (I'm on chemo now). ~Amber
