Guest guest
-Amber: I have read and researched so many different types of treatments for b/c and this one I have not heard of. I am treating mine with Red Clover, high vita C and lots of other therapies. Would love to hear any information you have on this new one. Thanks for sharing, I would google it and see what you find. I read an article in the VRP newsletter that says iodoral is recommended for treating breast cancer. . >
Guest guest
Frann, The Iodine for Breast Cancer is a movement that has only grown in the last two years. Researchers have reviewed medical literature from the 1950s til the present connecting iodine deficiency with breast disease. Several mainstream researchers have even called for iodine to be used as an adjuvant therapy for breast cancer. There a lot of links to the iodine research from this page: _www.breastcancerchoices.org/iodine_ (http://www.breastcancerchoices.org/iodine) You might want to check out the iodine loading test too to see if you are deficient. Guest guest
Amber, Iodoral only comes in tablets. It is potassium iodine with potassium iodide. The liquid, water-based formulation of this has been around for years as " Lugol's Solution. " Tincture of iodine (alcohol based) is the stuff you put on skinned knees. See: _www.mbschachter.com/Iodine_ (http://www.mbschachter.com/Iodine) for a brief history. In a message dated 9/19/2006 2:14:09 P.M. Most b/c patients have low iodine levels (as a cause of b/c or the result of it nobody knows). Supplementation does seem to help tho. Guest guest
I'm confused - I though Ioderal was 12.5 mg pills. From: Stargazer Iodoral is liquid iodine Frann. Guest guest
Thanks for the correction Lynn. I misread the label. What I have is called Iosol. Label says it's the highest potency available without a scrip and gives 153 mcg per dose (if mixed according to directions). I took waaay to much the first time! ~Amber You wrote: Iodoral only comes in tablets. It is potassium iodine with potassium iodide
Guest guest
There is an iodine group. I subscribed and they are really prolific - at least 50 emails a day. I am really interested but hard to get through it all. I just started on iodoral a week ago and am so delighted to be sleeping really really well now. I am only taking 1 a day. Dr Brownstein's book is essential reading if you are interested. Toni

Guest guest
Hi Frann I have been told by naturopaths over the years that my thyroid is underactive but no treatment has helped. I have been on Armour for over a year. I am always the coldest person in a room, my hair is falling out and I dont sleep. But I suppose I want to take it because it is essential to the body and to prevent cancer and other things. I am always looking at prevention rather than down the track curing something. I am finding the iodine group very informative and notice you also contribute there. Are your pawpaw trees growing? It was you I sent the seeds to wasn't it? Guest guest
Toni, If you try 'Iosol " it may give you some help for the thyroid. I advise 4 drops in a little water for the first week, bump that up to 8 drops the second week and 12 drops the third week. You should feel energetic in the mid-afternoons, and a little warmer. You can get this product online. Johanne ----- Original Message ----- From: Toni s Hi Frann I have been told by naturopaths over the years that my thyroid is underactive but no treatment has helped. Guest guest
-Toni: So you don't have any cancer but yet you are treating yourself for some other illness with cancer methods? I guess what I am asking is what does the Iodoral do for you? Makes you warm and stops your hair loss and what else?? I have never written anything on the iodine group or not to my knowledge at least and if pawpaw seeds were sent my way in the US I have never gotten them. Don't know how long mail takes from outside the states to me though. .. > I am finding the iodine group very informative and notice you also contribute there. > Are your pawpaw trees growing? Guest guest
Iodine is important for the health of the thyroid and is important for cancer. The great lakes area is a cancer belt because of lack of iodine in the soil in this area. Goitors are also linked to thyroid and cancer caused by lack of iodine Lugol's solution is used in the dr clark cancer treatment. And its high in iodine.
