So what gives with the punishment for the selling of apricot seeds. Guest guest
I think it's not for selling the seeds but for making claims it cures cancer. There are 'general' well-being protocols that would probably benefit everyone but not necessarily 'cure' that particular cancer. As some alternative practitioners say, 'There is no cure' but rather remission or control' of cancer. If a cancer is at a dangerous point in one's life then I suspect heroic methods are probably called for and unfortunately these are either not even known by the person afflicted or financially out of reach. I have made up my mind that, should I reach that point, I will do everything I can to visit one of the clinics in Mexico to take advantage of the freedom they have to treat as well as a lower cost compared to a North American alternative provider. For example, Burzinsky in Texas has done wonders with brain and other cancers, all while fighting successfully to keep out of jail, but treatments will run upwards of $60,000. While Burzinsky is not holistic in our sense of the word, his treatments have a good success rate according to those who have come to his defense in court. Learning what we are all trying to learn is difficult and yes there are greedy people trying to take advantage of the helpless but that certainly isn't restricted to alternative health care. Just look at the Cancer Industry. Depending upon one's situation perhaps a visit to The Moss cancer site is a good place to start for someone with no solid background in alternative protocols. His site is: http://cancerdecisions.com/list/optin.php?form_id=8 Copy it and paste it and start learning. Joe C. * > > > > >
Guest guest
Mexico has plenty of greedy people and ineffective clinics too. Don't mortgage the farm to go there. Burzynski's mark-up on what he sells is unbelievably high, and he is sometimes using it where it is not very effective. Always try the flaxseed oil and cottage cheese. It has probably cured or extended the lives of more people than any other alternative method. Paying more is not necessarily getting more. Shysters are rampant in the alternative and orthodox medical field. Guest guest
My mother's soul left her body at 11:50 on 10th July 2004, 22 Tamuz, Johannesburg local time. Levitt endured 5 and 1/2 years of struggle, triumph, pain and then peace. In the end, the chemotherapy killed my mother but also originally extended her life. Keep up the move towards alternative therapies as choice is wealth of knowledge. Lastly group, try and focus, I believe, on particular cancers in discussion threads. My mom had ovarian epithelial, most cancers are different and have different optimum treatment methods. Good luck. Guest guest
Dear yang, Thank you for your thoughts and wishes. Losing any parent is the most difficult struggle that any human being can endure. Tell your mom that you love her every day. LOVING IS LIVING. So patients are I'm sorry yang, I cannot agree with YOUR flawed logic. The nanny state thing is not good for the people, hitler tried it,russia china and many other governments have tried to control every aspect of peoples lives and made them live according to the wisdom of the party. This is oppression. If someone wants to tell me he has a cure for cancer - I say let him, if you as a " scientist or doctor " disagree with him - you are free to inform me of your viewpoint.Remember Capernicus? Semmelweis?and countless others who were persecuted by the authorities - the wise ones of their time? I am insulted that you do not trust me enough to make my own judgement as to whether a seed can cure cancer or not - worst case senario is that i will waste a small amount of money trying it - hey it's my money-not yours! unless you are so ill informed as to believe the propagander that apricot seed are a deadly poison and will kill me- in which case you need some research skills-not a nanny state! regards kim
