Guest guest
Hi, I'm reading 's book. I'm not an expert. I did enjoy her explanation of the blood tests they give and what they mean. My name is Robbie ( a) Palm, 42 and newly dx with cancer this March 2000. I have a family of four, husband, and three kids ( ages 9,12 & 15). It has been hard on our family but we are doing fine. I was dx with Non Hodgkins, low grade, stage 111 and no symptoms. I 'm on wait and watch. I was dx in March up at Mayo in Rochester , Minnesota. I run, bike and had no symptoms.IT was found during a routine check-up.They did an echocardiogram and found a density near my aorta. They found some enlarged lymph nodes ( very small though). They did a local biospy but missed it etc. I had one show up near my salivary gland. They did a biospy up at Mayo and found my cancer. They were surprised since I looked so healthy. I feel pretty good. I was on a site with my NHL cancer and wanted to explore or discuss other cancer fighting ideas, for example, diets, green tea, flax oil, vitamins etc. Or hear stories about what other people have done to help with their cancer. I do feel there is a " deficiency " in our diet that is causing this etc. I had a horrible diet for years. I did not eat very well. I do now!!! I pray and hope I can stay on " wait & watch " as long as I can. I enjoy reading what other people have had success with, for example, how to keep tumors from getting larger. In our cancer , that is important. I have low grade, therefore, it grows very slowly. The slower I can keep it from growing the better! I look forward to your discussions.Robbie NHL-stage 111 A 42 dx March 2000
Guest guest
Being diagnosed with cancer is both a curse and a blessing. My daughter was diagnosed a year ago and suddenly life becomes more precious and you get a whole new set of values. There are many good books, and some not so good, out on cancer, Amazon can give you their titles and reviews. You will get so many stories about miraculous cures and things that worked with no trouble at all. I think they are probably true but mostly useless. In any cure it is better to try to find the percentage of people treated who respond and to get stories and reasons for failure as well as those for success. My daughter meditates for at least an hour a day and feels she has benefited from it. There is one machine which I believe is harmless and according to records gets close to 70% cure rate, it is a light with a moduated frequency which shines on the patient. It is called the Bioray - And in several places around the country they have what are called chat houses where peoplecan go and test the effect of the machine. The test would be not only how you feel, but how your cancer markers are effected. The person to contact about this machine and the location of chat houses is Lynn Kenny his email address is beamray@.... I believe you are right about diet. My daughter also takes immunocal which is to build up the immune system. Proper famill\y support is also necessary. Hope this helps, Don Nichols [ ] New Member- NHL-low grade > Hi, > I'm reading 's book. I'm not an expert.
