Guest guest
Barb, In the post that you're referring to, #13296, my words were: " Start the Budwig diet with some of Max Gerson's suggestions added in. " " Below is one of many testimonials in the FlaxseedOil2 group " Then I added a testimonial letter written by Parsons, where she says " we followed the diet scrupulously. " She's referring to the flaxseed oil/cottage cheese diet developed by Dr. Johanna Budwig. You can find plenty of information on the diet on the Group FlaxseedOil2. Dr. Budwig reported healing terminal cancer patients. Her books on Amazon say the protocol helps heart patients & those with other chronic illnesses. Dr. Budwig lived to age 94 & passed away a couple years ago after a fall. There are many people on the Flaxseed Oil 2 group who believe that her diet improved their health and relieved their pain within weeks of starting the program. The Files section for that group is full of testimonial letters like the one I included in my post. I have one meal a day of the Budwig FO/CC mixture. Many people in the group have it one time a day for prevention of a recurrence of cancer. But if a patient is very ill, he/she should follow the entire Budwig Protocol fully. Guest guest
Chemotherapy drugs often will damage the lining of the stomach and intestines, leading to symptoms of nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, and a burning sensation. Your neighbor may be drinking shakes because they are soothing to the digestive tract. I'm assuming you mean ice cream milk shakes. When the digestive tract becomes inflamed, oils and moist foods help as opposed to dry foods. It helps to avoid breads and dry meats, crackers & chips. Instead, eat soft boiled eggs, mashed steamed carrots with coconut oil, soft steamed squash with oil, foods that are easy to digest and moist, vegetable soups with some olive oil. Some vegetables could be put in a food processor to make them easier to digest. Also, I find the Budwig mixture that I mentioned in the last post very soothing to the digestive system. It has 3 tbs flax oil & 6 tbs low fat organic cottage cheese. I also add kefir & freshly ground flaxseeds as well as juicy fruit like grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, or kiwi. If I had inoperable cancer, I would follow the Budwig protocol completely plus add other cancer fighters. Essiac tea can help with pain & fight cancer. To make it more soothing, some olive could be added. Plus, it helps to drink a lot of pure water during the day, no coffee or tea, which could further dehydrate his system. He could make a healthy " shake " from a vegetable protein powder & add a little honey, pure maple syrup, or cinnamon, some ground flaxseeds and flaxseed oil and put it in a blender with ice cubes. Whey protein could be added and the amino acid, glutamine, which is supposed to soothe and heal the gut lining. Putting a couple tbs of flaxseeds into a glass of pure water and letting it sit for 4-5 hours or more creates a thickened syrup of the water. It helps to stir it several times. This can soothe the digestive tract. He could take this 3-4 a day. Also, an oatmeal congee can be soothing. Cook oatmeal slowly with lots of water. The water thickens, but the mixture should be soupy. Some milk or rice milk could be added with cinnamon and/or maple syrup. Those are a few ideas for soothing the dry, burning pain of the digestive system. I hope that your friend will find some of these helpful. Guest guest
Hi Yang, I take 3 tbs flax oil & 6 tbs low-fat organic cottage cheese, I add a couple tbs kefir to thin the mix, then I blend them with a handheld electric blender until it's a custard. It's important that the oil is completely merged with the CC; that's how it gets carried into the cells much better than the oil alone. After blending, I also add 2 tbs freshly ground flaxseeds & small chunks of a juicy fruit like grapefruit, pineapple, papaya, or kiwi. I eat this one time a day. The fruits vary the taste. Use a coffee grinder for the flax seeds.
