Guest guest
I purchased two bottles of " Now " brand 100mg Beta - 1,3/1,6 - D - Glucan from GNC for $9.95 per 90 capsule bottle. I have used " Now " products before and been quite satisfied with the quality of their products. > Regarding beta glucan... > I just bought bet glucan 10 mg capsules > Protocol 1 recommends 2-3 grams > Please explain the schedule taking these capsules. Guest guest
In Bill 's book, " Cure Your Cancer " , he reccommends 50-1500 mg of Beta Glucan daily for someone with cancer. He also suggests this to be taken with MGN-3 (3 grams/day). heatheresh <heatheresh@...> wrote:Hello, Does anyone know what the most beneficial dosage of Beta Glucan should be? Guest guest
Sorry I made a mistake in my last post. He suggests 500-1500 mg/day of Beta Glucan. heatheresh <heatheresh@...> wrote:Hello, Does anyone know what the most beneficial dosage of Beta Glucan should be? Guest guest
that may depend on how fine the Beta glucan is micronized. NSC ( the makers of low dose beta glucan,NSC-24) has data to show that 3-10 mg of MICRONIZED beta glucan ( from yeast NOT oat beta glucans which are effective in lowering cholesterol but NOT the immune system) is much more effective than a MUCH larger dose if not. If the particle of beta blucan is too large it cannot enter the cell to do its job. More is NOT always better, of course. Check out this aspect. Check the beta glucan source and the molecular size as well and the dose. Quality some times out weighs quantity...( and some times it doesn't....) jeff Re: [ ] Beta Glucan Sorry I made a mistake in my last post. Guest guest
i e-mailed the company that makes NSC-24 asking how many mgs of micronized beta glucan would equal 1000 mgs of regular beta glucan, but received no answer, so, if anyone has the answer, please let me know. jeff jones <sunman23@...> wrote:that may depend on how fine the Beta glucan is micronized. Guest guest
At this site, is this a sales pitch or is it true that Beta Glucan clumps up and you lose alot of it in the gut? http://www.nsc24.com/questions.htm Any good brands out there? Guest guest
This opinion about micronized beta glucan has NOT been scientifically proven. I'm not sure at all about the claims of superiority of the micronized beta glucan. > > Its supposed to be the Micronized type, by Immunition..Its $75 at Vitamin Shoppe, but may actually be cheap compared to other beta glucans that may not be as effective > My questions is how many to take..on the bottle it just says " one a day " , but I htink if you have active ca, you probably need more..i take 6 a ady. > There was one guy who was sending info on this , on this site..maybe he can answer > > > From: lmonrovia > > Can anyone advise me on the best form of beta glucan to buy? > TIA >
