Guest guest
Georgia I contacted his clinic when I had breast cancer and they sent me all the information which at that time they required me to complete chemo and radiation before coming to their clinic. You can go online to their website maybe things have changed some. If you can afford to go to Klinik-st-georg.de or Rio Valley Medical Center online. The other place I am quite impressed with is USANA's hospital in Baja Calif. Call 888-950-9595 for the website and info on Sanaviv hospital. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Burzynski has some excellent references going for it but when I checked into its possible benefit to me a few years ago it was simply too costly to even consider. That is in my world. Joe C.

Guest guest
In 2001 when we decided to ditch conventional medicine for my stage III colon cancer, we looked for alternative medicine doctors in the Houston area who were treating cancer. Only two came up on an internet search, one of which was Dr. Burzynski. We were familiar with him because of all the trouble he had been in with the FDA a few years earlier with his " urine therapy. " We decided that if he was in trouble with the FDA then he must be doing something right. My dh called for an appointment and was told that a 30-40 minute consult with Dr. B would be $750. To us that was very steep, but dh went ahead and made the appointment. (You can do the math as to how much that is per hour.) And should we decide to go with Dr. B's protocol, they would require a $15,000 retainer fee in case our insurance company would not pay. We were told that some insurance companies would pay for treatment and some would not. DH called the next doctor that we found, who was actually a chiro doing alternative medicine, and he would give us a 2-hour consult for $100. DH canceled the Burzynski appointment and made an appointment with the chiro. Long story short, we decided to go with his protocol as everything we were told was exactly what we had been reading. Within 8 months my blood work was clear and I have remained healthy. By the way, one month of my chemo (4 treatments) was over $18,000.00. They wanted me to do six months of preventative chemo. After the 4th treatment I ended up in the hospital with severe dehydration. Eight months on the alternative program, including supplementation and a 1-hour visit with the doc every week, amounted to around $25,000.00. That's not including food for the diet change. However we actually saved money in that department because all eating-out was stopped and no high-cost pre-packaged foods, cereals, drinks, etc. In Dr. B's defense. I believe that his treatment does work and is very effective for certain brain cancers, especially with children. He has decided to play the game with the FDA. They told him they would allow trials on his protocol but he must also do traditional therapy. I think his thinking was to do everything to please them so that he could get his much needed protocol approved. To my knowledge they are still in clinical trials and I know he is still recommending chemotherapy and radiation. There were several families in the Houston area that wanted their children to do Dr. B's protocol as soon as the children were diagnosed, but the courts and social services would not allow them to try it until all conventional methods had been exhausted. Once someone has been chemoed and radiated to near death, it is very, very difficult for any protocol to bring back what has been chemically taken away. Dan Haley has devoted a chapter on Dr. B in his book, Politics In Healing. Everyone who is concerned about cancer and/or our medical system should read this book.
