The Gerson Inst may have a list of persons selling used juicers (call

619-685-5353).

Here's a couple juicer websites:

I don't know, but some health food stores carry them (though probably not for

a discounted price).

Hi,

I'd like to add a site where you'll find interesting testimonials re juicers and

Vitamix is the best liquifier/blender around (it's not really a juicer). It's

very useful for tons of things, but a liquifier/blender's no substitute for a

juicer if you're looking for therapeutic effects, particularly cancer-healing.

Centrifugal juicers are the worst juicers (therapeutically)--they destroy the

enzymes. I think Juiceman's centrifugal. It's essential to use a masticating

juicer.

Unless you're willing and able to spend well over $1000 for a Norwalk or K & K

grinder-press-type juicer (which are by far the best), I'd get a Champion ($170;

championjuicer.com). I've recently heard that most other masticating juicers now

use magnets that destroy the enzymes. For more info

One avenue would be Dr Mercola. He rates most of the juicers with a

comprehensive report. www.mercola.com

For those of you've juice regularly, do you perceive a difference in

glowing accounts have got me very curious.

I agree with Leonard - the Champion is your best bet for a juicer. You

can get a commercial quality one for under $300. We've had one since

1996 and use it constantly. The pulp comes out really dry and it

extracts far more juice than my daughter's Juiceman which in my opinion

is next to worthless. The Juiceman is not efficient about extracting

the juice and is a mess to clean up.

I don't think you can go wrong with the Champion and it won't break the

budget.

THe Green Machine is better than the Champion, it runs cooler. Heat

destroys the good enzymes. But Dhampion is the best for a lower budget.

A heartfelt thank you all for your responses. I had hoped to make a

quick decision and buy one this weekend but, as it turns out, there

are just under a million juicers available (ah, the joys of a free

market) and I'm going to have to do much more research before I

plonk down $$$ for one.

One site that has a ton of fairly unbiased information is the Living

and Raw Foods Marketplace at www.discountjuicer.com.

By the way, does the Champion juice wheatgrass??

Thanks once again!

The Norwalk Juicer is my suggestion. I use mine everyday and have NEVER had any

problems with it. The stainless steel is the way to go..the machine is $5000,

and it really does a good job. I am so happy with it. I haven't heard of the

Twin Health..but as far as the other machines they are " enzyme murderers " .,

whereas the Norwalk is a 2- step process, first the pulp and then it gets

pressed with one ton of pressure.

But any juicer is better than NO juicer as far as i'm concerned!

Hi

I need some juicer advice. I'm stuck between the Champion, the Green

Power Kempo, and the Twin Health machines.

I have heard that there's better quality juice and yield with the

Twin Gear machines, but that there are problems with the 'all

stainless steel gears' including clog up from fruit pulp, etc.

The Twin Health review was the best, but it has 'all stainless steel

gears,' and has not been out too long, so I'm wondering if anyone

has had experience with this machine.

Any information would be welcomed.

Thanks

i am using the twin health juicer. i switch from the single gear juicer. So far

for approx one year, the jucier only jammed twice and i juice about twice per

day, each time making 32 ounces of carrots and vegetables juice.

The juicer is good, the pulp is dry. At one time, using the same packet of

vegetables, i test it between the single gear juicer and twin health, the jucie

from twin health is sweeter.

hope that this helps!

Combining a masticating juicer like the Champion with a hydraulic press like the

Welles juice press, gives you the most bioavailable nutrients and live enzymes.

Wrap the masticated pulp from the Champion in a cloth and press all the juice

out of it with the Welles (or other brand of the same type).

Ounce for ounce, you'll get the most nutrients from this combination of juicing

types. It is the same thing as Norwalk (going at well over $1000) does at less

than 1/2 the cost.

This certainly looks way different than anything I have ever seen.

Myself, I would not want to take a chance on it as is expensive. I

have the Green Star and love it, and it really gets all the juice out

of the veggies and fruit. Also one of the few that will juice

wheatgrass which is extremly good for you. Many knowledgeable and

wise people recommend the Green Star. in CA

Ruella,

I purchased an Omega 8005 and like it. You might look here

http://www.bizrate.com/juicers/ for being able to make some

comparisons. It depends on what you want to juice, your price range

and what other variables you feel are important. I was looking for a

masticating juicer that could do many things. Enjoy the search! Good

health juicing!

If you have a Bed Bath and Beyond in the area and a 20% off coupon, they get

cheaper yet.
