Guest guest
trudy, Will you do the kidney detox and liver detox at the same time. May be alternating them would be a good idea to decrease the load. What does Dr. Corsello say about this. Does she say that using them together is okay? Take care. Nil Detox Teas | Hi Kathy, | | Thanks for bringing up Dr. Corsello's detox tea (red clover blossoms, burdock root, dandelion, chaparral, milk thistle, Oregon graperoot, licorice root, fennel and fenugreek). I went to my local health food store that sells bulk herbs. There were two that I was not able to get--chaparral (I don't think that chaparral is available in Canada--one of those " banned " herbs) and Oregon graperoot. | | I made a cup of tea this evening and found it very pleasant. I really appreciated Dr. Corsello's tip that these herbs are usually packaged as a " detox " remedy. So with her tip in hand, I also picked up " Select Detox Formula " that contains milk thistle seeds, chicory root, dandelion root, burdock root and red clover flowers. | | And I also picked another tea for kidney detox (one that is made up locally). That one contains: buchu, cornsilk, horsetail, juniper berries, nettle, parsley, red clover and uva urs. | | ...I'll be in detox heaven! ;-) LOL | | Your tea with dandelion, fenugreek, milk thistle and burdock root sounds lovely. They are all my favorite herbs for tea. | | I haven't had the energy to start reading Corsello's book, yet. I am thinking that one chapter a day might be too much. I will try, again, tomorrow. | | I really think that Dr. Corsello's work is such a nice complement to Dr. Sherry 's books. ...lot's of great information! | | Kind regards, | Trudy | | | Hi Trudy- | | I am SO MCS that I have to put things out side and let them air out for a | long time. The record so far was around 3 months with some paperwork that | came from a place that was very heavily scented. It's hard with paper | products cause they can't be washed in powdered milk. I too would be | interested if anyone else has suggestions on this as one of my books from | Santa is sitting outside on the porch. That's where everything sits to | offgas that can't be washed. | | I love Dr Corsellos Book and see why Rich so strongly recommends it. Of | particulary note to me personally is: | | 1. Support the adrenals before supplementing the thyroid. | 2. When someone wakes up the next morning not hungry for hours, it's cause the liver is working so hard to detox. | 3. How to effectively deal with estrogen dominance and natural HRT. | 4. Liver spots..a sign of things to come (dementia), why it happens and how to treat the liver therefore they disappear. | 5. The Bowel Programs | 6. The fact the all the Corsello Center Supplements are to her | specifications without fillers | | All of the above apply to me and I am really loving this book. I took it | with me to my natural healer the other day and she tested me on four | products in the book that I am interested in trying. Also, the Detox Tonic Tea that she has on page 113...she tested me on that also. I tested | negative on the recipe as written so we then tested each individual herb. | We eliminated six of them and I am now sitting here drinking a tea made of | dandelion/fenugreek/milk thistle and burdock root. I must say that so far, the dandelion tea she been having me drink for the past three weeks or so seems to be helping with detoxing. I have noticed that it is a very common herbal ingredient with quality detox supplements. | | Boy, I don't know how I got off on that!.....Anyway, the Detox or Die book | is absolutely excellent and in my opinion is Dr best book so far. It is the perfect compliment to a few of her other books. Hope you can read your new ones soon!! Or maybe you can just bundle up and go outside to read them for now!!....lol..... | | Kathy | | | | | | This list is intended for patients to share personal experiences with each other, not to give medical advice. Guest guest
Hi Nil, I must confess, I have not read enough of Dr. Corsello's book to know what she recommends regarding detoxing. What I am doing is something that I learned on my own. I started with the parasite cleanse and then went into the kidney cleanse (which I have now completed). Today I start the liver cleanse. I continue on with maintenance for the parasites. Basically, I am only doing one cleanse at a time. I find that if I try to do too much at once, nothing gets done. Hope you don't mind if I take a stab at it Trudy..this is how things get into my brain now...I read and then make notes on what I read so this will help me to retain it. Her Bowel Scrubbing and Soothing procedures on page 110/104 obviously addresses the liver as it contains common liver flush ingredients. She doesn't necessarily seem to address detoxing both at one but references the importance of keeping the kidneys flushing. Here's what she says on page 115 in the section called other kidney supporters (right after the section on the Importance of Water): " Flushing out the kidneys with adequate amounts of purified water and herbals teas that promote urination, such as Dr Kamhi's Detox Tonic Tea (previously posted), is essential for maintaining kidney health. I also recommend nature's healing foods, such as organically grown asparagus, adzuki beans, and watermelon. Juicing and drinking watermelon, seeds and all, first thing in the morning is a wonderful renal flushing remedy. Especially during menopausal transition, when the tendency to urinary infections increases, I recommend the preventive use of kidney herbs such as Uva Ursi. See chapter 11 for more about this and other natural remedies for urinary infections " . Myself, I purchase the 100% Tree of Life cranberry juice concentrate with nothing added. Following the Body Ecology Diet book, I make sure to drink some everyday. I put it in a glass bottle with water and Stevia...yum. I have been miraculously UTI free for 1 1/2 years now and surmise that the cranberry is helping but tend to credit the homeopathy more. Who knows, every little bit helps with me. Sigh.
