RE: Bruce-Water Project

You are right Bruce. But....

A friend of mine did a water project with her kids (she homeschools like me) and

found out that the water at Rocky Flats here is contaminated. They brought that

to their attention and the whole project was destroyed. That flows near here.

Oh well, my job is to be on the alert all the time.

What you need to test is your well water. The surface contaminants will not

get that far down in that short a run. Your well is probably at about 250

deep or a little more in that area as a rough guess and you are looking at

hundreds, if not thousands of miles of seepage to get that deep. So test

your well water and base what you do upon the test results. Run for heavy

metals including arsenic which is out there, etc... and see what happens.

Then deal with accordingly. Filtration will get most, if not all of it

relatively easily. Alkali needs neutralization, but that is not difficult

either. So, before jumping off the metaphorical bridge, find out what you

are dealing with.
