Hi Kathy F,

You were right!! There was at least one who missed 's itis'. I also miss

,

Betz and many others who seem to have dug in for the winter. Speaking of

weather, it is

a balmy 80 something degrees here in Sacto area. Now that I have opened my big

mouth,

it will probably freeze here tonight. We all know this is just a lull before

the storm, because

we still have some bad weather to get through also before warm weather gets here

to stay.

But you poor people in the East have really had your share this year.

Hey ,

How's the weather where you are??? Everyone have a great weekend.

Janet in Ca

[Editor's Note: Janet, thanks for saving me from the depths of despair, LOL.

Well, we ended up with 18 inches of snow and a few more inches expected later.

The guy who plows us out hasn't plowed us out yet so it looks like we're in for

the count. Hope your great weather lasts. Kathy F.]

"I have had Crohn's Disease for over 20 years and am trying to locate a physician who will perscribe naltrexone for me. I can travel as far as the Philadelphia area. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks"

Tisa, I don't know from which direction you would be traveling in PA, but Sullivan, M.D. in Mechanicsburg, PA might be an answer for you. His office number is (717) 697-5050.

Warm wishes,

Jan

Tisa,

I've heard that the Mechanicsburg doctor may do

phone consults. Call him to find out.

I'm a big one for just going straight to one of the experts. Contact

Jill in Hershey PA to see if she will take you on as a patient.

She was very forthcoming with information and assistance when I

contacted her regarding my daughter. I don't know if her current

clinical trial will cause a conflict of interest of some sort with

prescribing it outright to you, but it would be worth a phone call or

email.

Options we have found: Use way less chlorine that they recommend. I

found you can maintain a pool on a fraction of what they call for.

We did this for a few years, of course the kids had to shower after

anyway.

This year I am running my pool on salt water and baking soda. Mind

you, you will need a lot of baking soda and salt, but they are not

anymore expensive than chlorine and they won't hurt my kids.

What about water softner tablets instead of chlorine tablets in the

filter?? (not sure if your filter has that)

Anyone looked at those? I think they are just salt. (don't quote me

here, make sure to verify). But baking soda is used to maintain the pH

on the pool. They actually have the instructions on the box. And you

can buy large boxes in the baking section (grocery store) or laundry

section (Walmart)for about $2.00.

GSE might make a good mold treatment if that should happen.

At least until you can switch to a bromine system or something else.

Just food for thought. And fish aquariums or ponds for fish don't use

chlorine because it's toxic and kills the fish...so peaking into what

they use for the water, aside from charcoal filters....

Dear ,

There have been many accounts of people going off and then back on LDN. Most do just fine when they resume. Some have reported that they never get back to where they were, and a few have reported that things were actually better the next time they got back on.

Like everything else with LDN, it would seem that it is such an individual thing as to how you will do.

All my best

Aletha

My mom uses LDN for Parkinson's. The main thing she noticed was more energy and a feeling of well being. She is still progressing slowly however.

I will send you what posts I have saved regarding Parkinson's.

My best, Aletha
