Stomach cancer

Hi all, I am new to this group and I have never joined a group

before, so please bear with me as I learn My mother has mestastic

stomach cancer; I am not sure of the stage, but it has moved from

inside/outside the stomach to her liver and spleen; I assume it is

not early. We are on our second round of chemo; we did radiation and

chemo pills (Xeloda) for 2 months ending in early Feb, then they

took a CT scan, saw that cancer had multiplied and doubled in size

from Nov 04 to March 05, again, in both lobes of the liver, multiple

lesions on spleen, they see something in her right lung, either

cancer lesions or scar tissue from pneumonia and she has fluid built

up in her lungs. Dr assumes it is in her lymph system or blood

because it is moving from organ to organ. She is currently doing 1

IV chemo treatment every 3 weeks and taking 4 Xeloda chemo pills a

day for 3 months, then he will take another scan to see what's up

with the size and location. My main reason for joining this group

is to find out what else we can do besides chemo. Our Dr is not big

on alternative or complementary methods. He told my parents he

would rather see them spend money on a nice dinner out than anything

non-conventional. He has recommended only doing chemo 2 more times

if it isn't working or something to that effect, or maybe 2 more

times period...he made it sound like we are at the end of the line.

I am looking online at methods to use along with her chemo and it

all looks good, but I would like to know if anyone had luck with a

specific product or method and I will give my information back to

the group as I get it. I rec'd some info on a product from Austria

called UKRAIN®. Anyone try this? Thanks so much for your help.
