I also contacted the people in the US doing the clinical trial. They told me that the test won't be ready to the public for about 5 years. What a shame. Guest guest
Interesting report from WDDTY. Also see promo at end . . . From: e-news@...(WDDTY e-News) WHAT DOCTORS DON'T TELL YOU E-news broadcast - 4 August 2006 New blood test detects early stage breast cancer A new blood test that detects breast cancer at its earliest stage could become a vital weapon in fighting the disease. Scientists have found the test could pinpoint cancer long before it would show up using other methods. Trial results showed it was up to 1,000 times more sensitive than existing tests (as reported today in the Daily Mail). The results could have far-reaching implications for diagnosis of the disease, which claims up to 400,000 lives a year worldwide. Breast cancer is the most common female cancer, with 1.1million new cases each year. In Britain, more than 40,000 women are diagnosed annually, with more than 12,400 deaths. But scientists also believe it could be adapted to identify ovarian and prostate cancers as well. Doctors currently use a combination of breast examination, imaging with mammography and ultrasonography, and biopsy to diagnose the condition. But researchers recently claimed such scans could actually trigger the disease in some women. The new blood test works by detecting subtle changes in proteins in the bloodstream, caused when the immune system starts to fight a cancer. The test may also help identify whether a tumour is malignant or benign, ensuring the best treatment can be quickly selected. Professor Jasminka Godovac-Zimmerman, from University College London, reports the findings in the Journal of Proteome Research today. " Our pilot studies show that using blood samples, breast cancer and several other types of epithelial cancers (ovarian, prostate, melanoma) can be detected with much better sensitivity and specificity, " she said. She went on to say this may allow new, less intrusive, safer and much less expensive approaches for the early diagnosis of cancer. It would also help in distinguishing malignant and benign tumours and in monitoring cancer therapy. --------------- If you want to know more about the best ways of combating cancer, What Doctors Don?t Tell You has put together a special ?cancer pack? that contains FOUR books and reports which give you vital information about cancer screening and current orthodox and alternative cancer treatments ? and what you can do to prevent it happening. Guest guest
I asked my husband's doctor about blood test because I knew a blood test will show the markers telling if you had cancer and what kind. The doctor said they are not allowed to do that per insurance unless other test show a reason to think someone may have cancer.. all the other test are to RULE OUT CANCER. My husband's doctor felt it would cost more doing a blood test than MRI,CAT,or ULTRASOUNDS????? yet my brother died of PC and my husbands doctor felt it was more important to do a blood test on my HUSBAND then me and I was having a lot of pain. when they did do a ultra sound on me the found a large polyp in my gallabladder robert-blau@... wrote: WHAT DOCTORS DON'T TELL YOU E-news broadcast - 4 August 2006 New blood test detects early stage breast cancer
Guest guest
Has anyone found the name of the blood test that is being heralded? Of course I remember much talk about the AMAS however, there are a lot of questions about that not being as accurate as hyped. We can always hope for a good, non-invasive and less dangerous diagnostic tool. Joe C.

Guest guest
We might recall dogs can sniff cancer! Cancer stinks! Those yogis and ayurvedists who do regualr breathing exercises develop the cells which detect smell so well that they too develop the " sensory " skills to detect cancer! Following tibetan breathing techniques developed by Guru Padmasambhava and daily " neti " a cleansing technique from Patanjali yoga, author found that armpits odor of cancer patients is unusual and strongest odor is emitted by breast cancer. Even before tumors are forming which can be detected by palpation. There are chinese accupressure points in the center of wrist, about two finger widths below the wrist line and also similar ones in armpits, which detect the health of lymph system. Soreness of these points give a signal that armpit odor needs to be checked. Why cancer stinks, read more at: http://www.newstarget.com/019777.html Of course, bad odor can be due to a variety of other conditions too: http://edition.cnn.com/HEALTH/library/DS/00305.html But read only conditions that can give bad odor, not possible mainstream treatment there. Change of diet can solve 99% problems of bad odor and also cancer if it exists and detected through odor in sufficient advance! Guest guest
-You mentioned about the under arm lymph nodes, can you tell me if they feel like a tube is that something to be concerned about? I was faithfully doing inversion therapy to make sure the lymph nodes remained opened and draining but since I have d/c I have directly under the arm pit tube like things and I'm not sure what that is? Am going to see the naturopath in a month but would love an opinion now. Thanks, Frann -- In , " Shirish Bhate " <shirishbhate@...> wrote: > > > > > > >
