Guest guest
OK, if you read my previous post, my MD doesn't want to put me on Arimidex for Estradiol of 92, instead he wants to cut my hCG. However, I read in Shippen's book that aromatization of Testosterone into Estrogen/Estradiol can be controlled with Zinc. Have any of you tried this? I bought some 60mg tablets today. What dosage do I need? How long should it take before I see an effect? Are there any side effects to zinc? I presume 60mg/day isn't overdosing is it? I realize I have two variables here, the addition of zinc, and the reduction of hCG, so your input is really valuable! Thanks. Seren. Guest guest
Shippen lists 50mg/day for zinc. I would aim to eliminate any zinc deficiency. Once the deficiency is eliminated I would not expect additional benefits from increasing the dose. I don't necessarily agree with your doc's reasoning, but I think lowering the hcg is a good plan. Just anecdotally, it seems to me that test can fall fairly rapidly, but estrogen seems to take somewhat longer to clear out. You might consider the IC3 or DIM supplements but I have not personally tried either one.
