Crunch time... advice, please

Hi all,

Your advice would be most appreciated. Next Thursday I'm going to a

different specialist for a second opinion on HCG. So far, I've been

told that the only way they'll treat me with HCG is with huge doses,

i.e. 2500+ at least twice a week. I protested, saying that as far as

I know, doses at this level risk the ultimate desensitization of the

testes, as is well documented in the American literature. I shall of

course be taking that literature with me, as well as all of 's

extremely helpful files.

However, if push comes to shove, and the second specialist refuses to

start me off on a lower dose, I shall have to take matters into my

own hands - albeit with the support of my local GP. If I do take

matters into my own hands, I need to have some idea about suitable

regimes. I would favour HCG alone, but I think that a combination of

HCG and, say, testosterone gel would be better: it seems to suit a

few people in this group, so why not me? And of course, I'd have it

all monitored carefully.

However, what would seem to be the most appropriate regime? Shots

twice a week and gel on the days I don't inject? I know that everyone

is different, but bear in mind that I'll be going this alone, and so

need to be aware of as many different regimes as possible. If those

of you who do mix HCG with other forms of testosterone replacement

could let me know about your own methods, I'd be eternally grateful.

At least I'd then have something to run with, should this second

specialist send me away with nothing. I'm hoping it won't come to

that, but I fear it will.

Many many thanks in advance for your help and advice, as always

best wishes,

Colin ()
