Guest guest
Weird. Low Test and low E2. From your low LSH, FSH you are definately " secondary " . Please print out the Endo guidelines in the Files section (to your left). You doctor should have run a prolacting to rule out a pituitary tumor (about 5% of hypoganadsim is caused by a tumor, which is treatable). You may want to try the clomid stimulation test or the HCG stimulation test in the guidelines to see how you react to that. ALso, if you have find Dr. Shippen's HCG guidlines, that would give you a specific protocol to " test " to see how your body responds to HCG. Do a google search for Zolt HCG Primer Dr. Shippen and you will find a very good primer on HCG. Your low FSH and LH (and low E2 and SHBG) suggest that your testes are not getting the signal from your Pituitary to produce Test. HCG mimics LH which in turn causes your testes to produce T. Now, some people don't " feel " as good on HCG as they do on exogenous T (Androgel, shots, pellets, etc), but some people do. If fertility is a concern, then you probably want to have some type of HCG in your program (you can do both HCG and T), in order to " keep the boys in shape. " Exogeneous T will shut your HPTA down, so your testes will stop working. I am not sure about your other numbers, but the insulin looks out of whack. With low LH, FSH, and Testosterone it would seem you have secondary hypogonadism, possibly from pituitary issues . Has she tested earlier for prolactin? You'd do well to read http://tinyurl.com/2urjg Good luck.
Guest guest
How long were you off of TRT? TRT will lower your LH and FSH levels and you should be off of TRT for a few weeks so your system can clear before you do a baseline. I just went through this 2 months ago. Guest guest
I was off for a little over 3 weeks. My Prolactin was taken while on Androgel and it was 4.67 (2.10-17.70) so I think it was normal. The insulin was after a fast so I don't know what's up with that. Maybe type II diabetes? Thanks for the feedback. > > After being on Androgel for a few months and feeling pretty good, > my > > wife's endo wanted me to stop and get baseline test results.
