Guest guest
Well here are my thoughts on her. First you don't lower the T. Gel if you feel more depressed you check your levels and see if they are high enough to the way you are feeling. If you lower my T. meds I will be very dam depressed. Treating men over 60 thinking about problems with cancer and prostate tells me she is not up on TRT in men. TRT does not cause prostrate cancer or prostrate problems it is the high E2 Estradiol. To two big issues. Phil rndchemist <rndchemist@...> wrote: First visit. She is in her mid 30s. For anyone looking for an Endo with experience in male menopause, this is her info: Dr. Padma Mangu Group Health Associates 513-745-4706 (Kenwood office) We went through my medical history and test results. She was very receptive to all my concerns and treated me with respect by listening and not treating me as an ignorant or she is the one that knows it all. I showed up with the Guidelines from the American Endo and Dr. Shippen's book. I also mentioned this group. She agreed with the treatment my IM doctor (GP) is giving me (5g Androgel daily). She showed concerned about my depression episodes. She was not totally convinced it was all due to the low T. She asked me to lower the Andro dosage to 2.5 g if my depression returns. We did not discuss Estradiol (she did not mention it at all). That is the only concern I have. She ordered an MRI of the brain to see the pituitary gland to rule out any problems. She said 94% of the times there is nothing wrong. Also a CBC since I forgot to ask my GP when I had my physical. She does not like to give TRT to patients over 60 due to the prostate side effects (cancer, enlargement). She did mention some of her experiences with patients, from teenagers to seniors. She recommended check ups with my GP every 6 months, or yearly as a minimum.
Guest guest
Phil: I think I miss stated what she said about depression. She said that if I do not get depressed then the whole incident was due to the low T. If I do get depressed, then the low T perhaps had something to do, but there may be some other cause. If the later is my case next year, she said try the 2.5 g AG and see what happens. Always monitoring my levels and my emotional and physicals states. I agree with you regarding the prostate. I just did not feel like challenging her since I did not have all the documentation with me. What I liked about her was she listened, does not like to use drugs needlessly and believes in close monitoring of patients. It bothered me she did not mention E2 at all. Not even to say there has to be a balance with T. Flaco. > > > First visit. She is in her mid 30s. Guest guest
Well you can allways bring her around but going down to 2.5 AndroGel hell 5 is not enough I did 10 and still am and my Total was only 590 but I feel dam good. You can work with her I did this with my Dr. he knew nothing about hight E2 in men and gave me a hard time about testing me for it now he checks all his men on T.
