Guest guest
I had a bad night last night and most of today. I was having Panic Attacks one after the other. I tried Medataing to calm myself down but the waves of panic kept coming until I finely gave in and took Xanax. I started with a .25 pill and after an hour had to take one more. I have not had any Arimidex since Fri. and it was a quarter of a pill. I don't think it is the Arimidex I now feel it is coming off the Xanax this is the 3rd. time that I have stopped taking Xamax but after weaning my self off. I have gone form a .5 mg. pill at night to a .25 mg. at bedtime then a half of the .25 for a week then I stop. Now after 4 days I have no problem the the fifth night I have what feels like a panic attack but not the tight chest or trouble breathing. I think it is with draw symptons. Last Wed. morning I had trouble on the fifth night and posted that I felt it was the Arimidex I took Xanax that day and then stopped on Thur. now this morning is the fifth day off and it started at 6am this morning and lasted until 2pm. I am not going to take Arimidex until I get the blood test back hopefully tomorrow. If my E2 is not to low then I am going to wait until I get my E2 down and am on a reg. schedule with the Arimidex. Then I am going to work on getting off the Xanax maybe I need to take a pill every other day for a week before stopping. It is so hard too tell what is going on. But in the past if I did not take the Xanax at bed time I would have trouble that night. At least I am lasting 5 days. But this is knocking the crap out of me. Guest guest
I agree that you should get on a system and stick to it, get blood test using the system. The more you change what you are doing, the less likely you will find treatment that will help you feel consistently good. Arimidex is powerful, and it may have some side effects, I do find it seems to make me very tired when I take too much. But at a quarter pill a day you should be fine in my opinion. Like you said, it is hard to figure out when you have a few problems happening at once, so you shouldn't jump to conclusions about the effects of hormone related drugs and vitamins until you give them a fair shot. It is hard to say how much is the placebo effect (ie. psychological rather than physiological responses), until you give it a month or two on a certain regimine. Might as well stay conservative (and cost effective), and start your Arimidex dose at a quarter pill a day for a month, then get blood work and see where you are at and adjust accordingly. My opinion. Armyguy > I had a bad night last night and most of today. I was having Panic > Attacks one after the other.
