Guest guest
> I am doing some research on transdermal > Chrysin for lowering E2 and DHT. > Has anyone had any luck with it? Chrysin is a very mild aromatase inhibitor. The problem with Chrysin is that, when taken orally, it's not bioavailable because it gets digested before it has a chance to enter the bloodstream. Many sellers of Chrysin in pill form claim that their formulation solves the bioavailability problem, but I'm very skeptical of those claims. Before using DIM, I used Chrysin gel for about 5 months to lower E2. (See my 5 of 8 primer article in the files section of this group.) My blood tests indicated that Chrysin gel had no impact on lowering E2. However, it has a remarkably positive effect on improving insulin sensitivity (I'm T2 diabetic). So, I continued applying Chrysin gel until I began getting pain in the joints in my fingers. I stopped applying the Chrysin gel and the pain subsided. No one I've talked to can explain this effect, but I've discontinued the gel as a result of this pain. I tried applying the gel with rubber gloves, but the pain didn't subside until I stopped the gel entirely. I figured out the proper dosage for DIM soon thereafter. The DIM has the same impact on insulin sensitivity and my blood tests clearly show that it lowers E2. I still have mild pain in those joints, but it's not a big deal at this point. I chalk it up to being on the bleeding edge of this new science. I believe that Chrysin had a very small impact on lowering my E2 albeit at a fairly large dose (Note: I take a very low dosage of everything else!). Guest guest
Hi Ron. I have tried Chrysin with piperine from LEF. Used it in order to protect my prostate (as they claim). After starting with Androgel I thought it would be useful to lower my E2 values. The only problem was that my E2 values were low to begin with and the Chrysin probably lowered them even more. Felt awful, really moody and low. Phil can verify the problems with too high or too low E2. It can be as devastating as low T....Chrysin - in my case it was powerful stuff. > > Wondering if anyone has investigated or used this with any success. > I know bb'ers used it or tried to as a supplement to boost test, by > inhibiting the aromatase enzyme. Guest guest
I tried it for high E2 and it did nothing I feel it get killed when it hits the stomach. I do know if you get it compounded into to a say T cream it will work to keep E2 down. Phil Ron <bb1fit@...> wrote: Wondering if anyone has investigated or used this with any success. I know bb'ers used it or tried to as a supplement to boost test, by inhibiting the aromatase enzyme. The problem was and is it is poorly absorbed and did not give the result expected. However, I have been doing some research into this and in a pilot study it seems when combined with piperine(a pepper extract), reductions in serum estrogen(estradiol)and increases in total and free test result in 30 days. A study in the Journal of Steroid and Biochemical Molecular Biology compares chrysin and 10 other flavoniods to an aromatase inhibiting drug(aminoglutethimide). Chrysin was not only shown to be the most potent of these armatase inhibitors, but was found to be similar in effectiveness to the armotase-inhibiting drug. Anyone with any more insight into this. I will continue to report as I find out more. Ron

Guest guest
Guys I tried all of that stuff and the DIM I tryed at the time 4 yrs. ago did not work at all now today most of the DIM is good. Here is a link full of info. http://qualitycounts.com/fpdim.html Phil Ron <bb1fit@...> wrote: > > > > Wondering if anyone has investigated or used this with any success. > > I know bb'ers used it or tried to as a supplement to boost test, by > > inhibiting the aromatase enzyme. Guest guest
Yes I did and ended up using Arimidex until I found out about Indolplex/DIM. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html Phil Ron <bb1fit@...> wrote: > Wondering if anyone has investigated or used this with any success. > I know bb'ers used it or tried to as a supplement to boost test, by > inhibiting the aromatase enzyme. Guest guest
Hi Ron I was on TRT for over 17 yrs at the time I tried this and it was to lower E2 Estradiol. I do know like I posted back a little of men using Chrysin in there compounded T cream to help keep E2 down with seccess. When I tried it it did not work for me I found out about it from the LEF link and this one. http://www.geocities.com/bill3320/hormones.html I have been using Indolplex/DIM for some time now but it dose not help with my T levels up as high as I now have them. I have been doing .5 Arimidex 2 times a day for the last week. I know I am not going to low because I have morning wood all night when I am low I don't get the wood. For the last 6 week at nigh after taking the Indloplex/DIM I start to itch and break out in a rash on the back of my cailfs in the same spots. I am not going to take the Indolplex/DIM tonight to see if this stops I think it is causing the rash. In the past if my E2 was to high my legs would break out but doing the .5 Arimidex in the morning and after dinnner my E2 should not be high and doing this.
