If you have the cover Bruce, why not switch to a daily preparation like

a gel or Striant?

Hi, Nick-

I'm not sure what you mean by " the cover " . Insurance?

I think I'll stay with the T-cyp injections for now. They're getting my

T levels up, and I don't mind the " needlework " . This is the first

delivery method to really raise my T since starting TRT in 1998.

Previous " recorded " high was 355 ng/mL, so current 1105 is

impressive.

I'm reasonably certain my lack of physical improvement is due to

a neurochemically-caused depression, and once I'm through

that I'll enjoy the results of new T levels.

Thanks,

Bruce

Bruce what kind of AD meds. are you on? When I was on a big

coattail of 3 meds for major D. I found out I had Low T. the higher

the T. got the more the AD meds interfered and I was also told that

I had Bipolar and was put on the salts for it never felt any

better. As my Dr. started weaning me off the AD meds the better I

felt. In my case I never had Major D. or Bipolar and I question the

way they come up with these types of Depression in my case I just

told the shrink how I felt and he told me I had this WTF is the deal

with that. Any way this is what happened to me and my not be the

case with you. I would cut back on the weekly shots to 150 mgs.

Doing shots every 10 days you will feel low on the last 3 days

before you next shot. But for me your levels are not to high these

levels are what make me feel good.

Today I am having one hell of a time and know it is no fun. But I

have learned that this is Distressing Buy Not Dangerous. The crap I

am going through is form lowing my E2 to low and your is on the low

side should be up between 30-40 on my labs ranges <20 to 56.

Hi Phil,

Sorry to hear you're ill & missed your vacation trip.

I'm on Prozac 40mg/day (increased from 20mg last week),

Lamictal 150mg 2xday (great mood stabilizer, present condition

notwithstanding), and Klonopin, 0.5 to 1.0mg/day. I plan to find a

new psychiatrist soon (low confidence in current one at VA), and

switch to something other than orgasm-destroying Prozac. My

bipolar disorder is lifelong, so stopping AD meds is not an

option, changing them is. I don't think AD meds affected my T,

but I could be wrong. I see a brief study linking Prozac to low T, at

http://www.mhsanctuary.com/rx/testos.htm

Did you identify meds that affected your T?

Thanks for your kind support,

Bruce

Hi Bruce the only med you are on that gave me trouble is Prozac this

is some bad shit. I not only could not reach an orgasm but I could

not void and ended up with a bad bladder infection. It was Prozac

that got me to an Urologist and he is the one that found me to have

Low Testosterone. Klonopin I could not take I broke out in a bad

rash. Have you ever tried Wellbutrin I was on this for a long time

and had no trouble with it and knew a man that was Bipolar and said

it helped him a lot and no sex side effects. I hope you start

feeling better I am disappointed that this morning I had to go back

on Xanax I can't take these dam panic attacks. But now that I took

a Xanax I am feeling better.

Bruce,

I second Phil's observation that your E2 is too low. Quest Lab range

is 20-50. Once my E2 dropped too low and I got depressed. I

understand that you have been diagnosed Bipolar so E2 is not the only

factor, but the E2 being on the low side is not going to help your

situation.

By the way, sometimes anti-seizure type medications are sometimes

very effective with Bipolar. I'm thinking of Tegretol and Carbitrol.

Phil,

Good advice. I was on Wellbutrin before but stopped because I

thought it might be what made me tired. Wrong. Worth another

try.

Glad you're feeling better. Do you think your present symptoms

have something to do with stopping Arimidex? Your recent report

of diarhea suggests viral complications.

Dean,

That's two opinions for low E2. I'll consult my doc about adjusting

Arimidex.

Thanks,
