Guest guest
We just moved to a new house in Woodstock, NY. The basement had lots of mold, for this with cleaned with bleach, had a service spray (mold abatement) and put in a dehumidifier. But still the water seeps in through the stone walls and floods the basement. Then we also have radon, the original reading was 13, after we put in a mitigation system that sucks the radon out from under the house, the reading now is .8, but I am still concerned to have ANY radon at all and wonder what we can do to get rid of it? In the basement there is also fiberglass insulation falling off the ceiling and fiberglass dust everywhere. Also we have our washer & dryer in the basement (they won't fit anywhere else). We have been in this house about one month and put in two HEPA air filters. Tonight I notice that my computer is covered with shiny fiberglass dust. There is an attic type storage area that has no floor and lots of fiberglass insulation, we had someone put plastic over it and he also put a tarp down to cover the fiberglass insulation floor. But obviously the fiberglass is still leaking into the house. I have spoken to several contractors and they don't seem to know much about sealing off fiberglass, does anyone have any suggestions on what we can do not to breathe this stuff? Many thanks,
