Guest guest
Hi , I can relate to your situation. When I started HRT in 9/2001, I weighed 340 pounds, Im was 29 yo. Total T was 174 before HRT, was getting monthly depo injections for the first 6 monthes then my doctor put my Androgel instead. Since then my total T has went up to 1000, at 1 5 mg packet per day. However my wife and I are still trying to have kids and I have heard that Androgel can cause lower sperm production. So I am going to see another endo specializing in fertility treatment. I am hoping to start HCG/HMG treatments. I have been diagnosed with secondary and diagnosed as being healthy (low LH/FSH, T levels indicate otherwise)by 2 different endos so I need to get a third opinion. Isnt it funny that 2 endo can have opinions worlds apart! Different schools I suppose. Since 9/2001 I have lost 55 pounds, thats also with strength training at the gym 3-5x a week plus 30 min cardio. 52 " waist to a 42 " although now having to use the belt again. Diet has changed somewhat, I more monitor calories but still like to enjoy steak and potatoes on the weekend, cant be good all of the time! I have gone from 40% body fat to 23% as of a month ago. So as you can tell it takes quite some time to start losing the weight and feeling better, I suppose we are all different and the effects may effect some sooner then others. As far as the effects of HRT I really didnt start feeling better (I had a hard time maintaining an erection and couldnt seem to get my wife pregnant were my main symptoms) for several months after starting treatment. Now I can maintain an erection allot easier and have sex 4x a week and mastarbate daily. In all it seems to take time for these things. Believe me it takes allot of patients to get the results your looking for. I want to lose another 40 pounds, I know its going to be hard and take some time, but I know that if I dont think to much about it and maintain therapy that it will all come in time. Now if I could just get the mrs pregnant! > > Thanks Mike. > > > > > > > > Your experiences may help me in knowing what to expect and how long > it > > might take if you could answer some questions for me: > > > > > > > > 1.
