androgel vs testim

I was having absorbtion problems with androgel so my doctor switched

me to testim. Has any body else had this problem and/or has anyone

had good results with testim?

Rick, I moved to Testim for the same reasons.

My T level was only dropping while on AG. I tried for 2 months, and

my T level was aroung 95.

I used the Testim for 2 months noticed some difference (on one tube)

and tried 2 tubes for 2 weeks. I felt GREAT on 2 tubes.

My T level was 512 after 1 month on 1 tube of Testim.

I am going back to my Endo in 2 weeks and want to be put back on 2

tubes for 1 month and get rechecked.

Where were you applying the AG?

Where are applying the Testim?

I believe the location makes a big difference.

I was applying the androgel to my upper arms, shoulders, and some to

my abdomen. I am applying the testim to my upper arms and

shoulder. One tube of testin and I had my first erection in two

weeks. Sweet.

Congrats !!!!

From what I read, be careful about applying on the more fatty parts

of your body.

I started applying to the upper parts of my inner legs. I have two

small kids and the older loves to get on my shoulders.

I was on both I liked Testim better it worked better my levels were higher. The

difference is with Testim you put in on your upper arms and shoulders and down

your back as far as you can reach. Then rub it in well let it dry good and then

put on a shirt. No rubbing on gels will not make your muscles bigger but the T

levels getting up into the upper 1/3 of your labs range for a young man will.

Rubbing it on in a certain area is not going to make those muscles bigger. but

you are supposed to put testim on your upper arms and shoulders, DO NOT put on

testicles or abdomen. I found that for a best absorption rate take a shower and

use a loofa or something rough to scrub your arms and shoulders with while in

hot water. That removes the top layer of dead skin and the hot water rushes

blood to the surface and opens your pores allowing more medication into your

bloodstream. Just remember that out of that 50mg you only get roughly 10% of

that into your body so about 5mg. (Yeah that sucks) but I can still tell a

difference.

Biggest thing if you are trying to grow from working out, try to hit the gym

in morning thats when your nat reg test is a highest level. And eat 1gm protein

per body pound. You need a positive nitrogen balance to grow and you only get

taht from sufficient protein. Eat 6 meals throughout the day, be consistant

with workouts, and med application and you will grow.

I was on androgel first then testim second. With each one my t levels

only got up to 464 and I still felt like crap. I had a problem with

my skin absorbing the medication. You can rub either of them on your

upper shoulders, upper arms and even on your inner thighs where the

skin is thinner. Testim will leave behind a musky smell on your

clothes though. As far as either one affecting my muscles - it did

nothing. I hadn't regained any of my lost muscle or strength, and

I was pretty weak. I eventually went on injections and I have been

feeling the best. I have regained a lot of my lost muscle and strength

back. The shots do not even hurt. Hope this helps, you will have

to expirement with different locations to see how your skin does.

It is interesting to me that this type of application (topical and

through skin) is so popular.

Many suffers who are primary and secondary complain of dry, rigid

and tough skin throughout the body, due to inability to best hydrate

skin with this condition.

Although I too have been on it, it always struck me as a bit odd

that you are using an application method that directly competes

against a strong side effect, which effects ability to absorb.
