Guest guest
Try 6-OXO. I have some body builder friends so say this stuff is great for helping Free T and block Estro. Also try some L-arginine at 8000mg per day divided into 2 doses. I also here Tribulus is supposed to help with test. production. The above is just what I have heard is good. I have just been dignosed with a t level of 165 and I am 33. Luckly my Dr has plced me on AndroGel > I have been seeing a bunch of Dr.s for my low T/high e problem. None > have been any help. Guest guest
This is not what you want to hear but is intended to be helpful in the long run: You are wasting your time with these doctors. You have very low T and it needs to be treated and you need to make that a condition of continuing to see any physician. Putting an anti-depressant in a man with low T is a disaster. He is already depressed from having low T (not saying that is the only reason) and then you give him an anti-depressant instead of treating him for a medical condition. If the low T doesnt kill him sexually then the anti-depressants on top of it certainly will. Most of us here know that you have to educate your doc to some degree but also know that if you are starting off in the wrong place it is a waste of time. Doctors will hand out prescriptions for anti- depressants like candy but will make you work your butt off to look at your own hormones. If you were a woman in your 20's and your hormones were out of wack it would be adjusted as part of standard medical treatment. Your doctor does not know or care what his own T level is. It is just the way the world works. Men who are interested in testosterone are considered to be sex nuts or steroid junkies. Find someone else and dont ever expect to feel well with low T like that. *It is not going to happen*. Even if you make out okay sexually with low T, it will destroy your brain, muscles, and bones in the long run. If you are young and have low T, they will not treat you because you are too young to have low T (even if you do). When you get older they will not treat you because all mens T is supposed to decline and you just cant accept being normal. It is a trick process that you have to find your way through with assertiveness and knowledge and the willingness to leave docs behind that are worthless. You will piss more money away going around like cinderalla to see if the shoe fits than you would by just biting the bullet and seeing someone who is known to be receptive to the issue. I dont see any sense in putting you on an estrogen blocker. It might raise your T a little but I doubt it. If and when you get treatment to raise your T, you may or may not have elevated estrogen. If you do, then lowering your estrogen through 1mg a week of arimidex might be in order but it is not going to get you where you want to go without some T. If your docs are stand-offish about the issue of T replacement then I would doubt very much that they know about issues of conversion of T to E so you will just end out educating them and holding up cue cards for them endlessly. Good luck and stay indignant until you get some care. Winter > I have been seeing a bunch of Dr.s for my low T/high e problem. None > have been any help. Guest guest
My advice is: GET ANOTHER DOCTOR! Even on the very slight chance you were able to convince the doctor to give you some form of trt or/and estrogen blocker, this guy doesn't know anything about treatment and would not be a good advocate on helping you find an ultimate solution. You need to find a doctor who regularilly treats hypogonadism and does it until the patient feels great, not until there blood level rises a very slight amount. I spent months trying to convince doctor's that TRT was the right option for me, and I personally found it impossible to convince a doctor who is " dead set against T treatment " to help me in any way shape or form. I eventually found a doctor who actually listens to me and is my advocate in health. My whole world became normal again instead of having to fight tooth and nail too get better. Find a doctor who already treats hypo on a regular basis and believes in the benefits of trt and you will have a much easier go at it.
